Two Suns in the Bible
In the scripture that talks about "the day that
cometh shall burn them up" in Malachi, the next verse talks about the
"Sun of righteousness" arising "with healing in his
wings." Alphabetics provides some insight on this passage.

following this excerpt:
There
are some interesting passages in the Bible that suggest there ARE GOING TO BE
TWO SUNS. One of the suns is going to bring destruction and devastation. The
other is going to bring healing in His wings. One is going to burn up much of
the earth, and those on it. The other is coming to heal, help, and straighten
out the whole mess that the first one has brought.
Along with all the talk about hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, comets, and
more horrifying stuff than you can think of, the “Mayan prophecies” seem to
indicate there will be two suns in 2012.
What does the Bible say about all this? Let us see:
I draw your attention to Malachi 4:1and 2.
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud,
yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall
burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither
root nor branch.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with
healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the
stall.

Notice: The word Sun in Verse 2 is capitalized. Why is a word capitalized in the
middle of a verse? It is a proper noun…a name. It is someone’s name, having
to do with deity.
2. Notice: Verse one tells us that there is coming a day when the sun is
going to burn those on the earth…with intense heat…like an oven. It is going
to be a time of the execution of the wrath of God Almighty.
3. Jesus is often called the Son Of God all throughout Scripture. He
is called the Only Begotten Son of God, due to the teaching that He is
the only person ever born who was not conceived by man, but rather, conceived by
God, Himself. He is called the Son of man. But here, in Malachi, He is not
called the Son, but rather, the Sun.
It is not a misprint.
4. Over in the Book of Revelation, when John the revelator saw Jesus, he said
that the countenance of Jesus was shining like the sun: Revelation 1:16 And
he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp
two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
This is revealed once in the last Book of the Old Testament, and once in the
last book of the New Testament… Obviously, Jesus Christ is coming as the Sun
at the end of time.
5. When Jesus, The SUN comes to this earth next, he will be shining as
bright as the Sun. His countenance will be glistering white. And He will come with
healing in his wings. This, of course, speaks of his restoration of this
earth after the Tribulation period that immediately precedes His return to the
earth. During the seven year period of the Tribulation, such horrendous
annihilation will take place, that only Jesus can fix it. And fix it up, He
will!
Consider: Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD
will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk
uprightly.
Also: Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did
shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And think: Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of
the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb
is the light thereof.
Prepare to meet thy God! Amos 4:12

Are you looking for the sun to frighten us, or are you looking for the Sun
of Righteousness?

's Commentary
The word for "Sun" in Malachi 4:2 is
word 8121 in Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament, and refers
to the solar object.
One of the things I've found in my study of the code I discovered and called
"Alphabetics"
is that words before and after a word in alphabetical sequence often shed
prophetic and revelatory commentary on that word.
In this case, the words before word 8121 have to do with "watch" and
"watchmen". The words
after have to do with transformation and "to be changed."
Of course the connection between the idea of being a watchman and the Earth
being burned is easy to see.
What comes to mind for me in contemplating the relationship between the sun and
the idea of being changed is that I have long believed that the events of the
"second coming" would be a "baptism of fire", analogous to
the "baptism of water" associated with Noah's flood.
This will be a global phenomenon, and carry spiritual ramifications.
The idea of "baptism of fire" and "mighty change of heart"
are synonymous in the scriptures on a spiritual level (See my book from 1996, A
Mighty Change for a New World); and perhaps might have some literal
counterpart in the coming days.
One thing Mormon theology teaches that I can't help but think may have some
truth, is that in the coming days of calamity, the "telestial"
beings -- "These are they who are liars, and sorcerers, and adulterers, and whoremongers, and whosoever loves and makes a
lie" -- will be destroyed, largely by self-inflicted phenomenon (karma);
and the emerging, enlightened world will be free of such persons. But I
would also like to think that part of their elimination will have to do with
their becoming enlightened, being transformed by the mighty change of heart.
Another word definition just a few words down, 8138, means "to repeat, to
do the second time; to be changed." In this context, the "first
time" would be the flood, and the baptism of water; and the "second
time" would be the baptism of fire, which brings the mighty change.
What about "Solar Energy"?
For the last eight years I have been immersed in renewable energy technologies,
running a news and directory service covering
free energy technologies, including solar, wind, geothermal, tide on the
conventional end; but specializing in bringing attention to the most promising exotic
free energy technologies such as cold fusion, magnet motors, gravity motors,
zero point energy, and water as fuel.
I therefore find it interesting that as I look at word definitions 8121-8124
that have to do with the sun, and the words around these definitions, that at
least on first inspection I don't see anything that jumps out at me as showing
"solar energy" as being prophetically significant (at least not as
much so as the above conjecture about destruction and healing coming by the
sun).
However, I do think it is fair to render the following spiritual take on solar
energy. Those who "watch" and are vigilant, will look to
renewable energy sources as epitomized by solar technologies, which move them
away from dependence on a central grid which could (and is likely to) go
down. And that such a time will be marked by a change in outlook toward
our relationship with the earth, recognizing the need to live in harmony with
it, and not rape its resources as we have been doing by becoming dependent on
polluting fossil fuels.
On the other hand, Scientists are predicting a major eruptions of a coronal
mass ejection (CME) from the sun which would wipe out the power grid, not
just temporarily, but for a very long time -- long enough to sink our
civilization back into the dark ages if we don't take countermeasures.
Solar photovoltaic panels are also vulnerable to electromagnetic
pulse, which is likely to show up as well both naturally from a CME or
man-made from nuclear detonations, as mankind goes through a transformation of
being awful to being decent. The is one of the reasons why I am motivated
to find alternatives to solar power; and have been grateful to see that finally
some very promising
technologies are nearing market readiness.
Ultimately, though, ones survival
in the coming days of metamorphosis will depend not just on their temporal
preparedness, but on their spiritual attunement as well.
Malachi 4:1-3 Chiasm
After writing this and publishing a link to it from our news, I had the thought
that this passage probably has a chiasm in it. I've not dug out a chiasm
or parallel for a good decade. There were a couple of years back in
'92 and '93 that I dug these things out as a passion, immersed in them
daily. I have yet to see anyone else do as extensive of digging in these
as I did back then. They provide a great way to ponder on the meanings and
hidden message of the passages -- most likely embedded by genius far beyond the
prophet penning them in the first place. This genius was corroborated in
the alphabetics code I
discovered, which couldn't have possibly have been engineered by those who
composed the scriptures in the first place.
I guess it's about time I dug out another chiasm. First, I did
a Google search and found one
that was pretty good, but I've modified it as follows:
A. 1. For, behold,
B-1. the day
cometh,
B-2. that
shall burn as an oven;
C-1.
and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
C-2. shall be stubble:
B-1. and the day
that cometh
B-2. shall burn
them up, saith the LORD of hosts,

Now for some commentary on what I see in the
above passage.
In the center (D1-3), the rising of the Sun is tied to the awakening of a
remnant who finally grow up and realize their divine potential and emerge
through the ashes into a peaceful world founded in enlightenment rather than
greed.
Element C contrasts the burned up wicked with the surviving remnant, who walk on
their ashes, not as a token of aggression, but as a sad reality of the passing
of the prideful, who are now reduced from their pomp into ashes, on which their
former slaves are now walking. The roots and the branches that once
reached high, with deep foundation of penetration, are now just ashes.
Element B draws attention to this whole overturning via fire as being a function
of an act of God (e.g. CME), not a deed carried out by warring vindicators (a
phenomenon that historically has spawned once again the very monsters they set
out to overthrow).
As for a message to the renewable energy world, let's look at element D-2, where
the word "Sun" shows up. The other instances of D-2 are
"arise," "go forth" and "grow up". These
concepts are all consistent with the concept of people becoming awakened to the
need to live responsibly in harmony with the earth.
If I were to point out the very center of this chiasm, it would be
D-2. arise
D-3. with healing in his wings;
The notion of "healing" is certainly welcome in the context of such
devastation. It points to a new world that will arise from the ashes.
