Subject: Yet Another Idea re DNA testing
Sterling, are you aware of the "limited Tehuantepec theory" of Book of Mormon
anthropology? Briefly, it identifies the Olmecs as the Jaredites, the Maya as the Lamanites
(they came on the scene in about 600 bc and seemingly mixed, linguistically, culturally, etc. with
Olmec remnants and had their heyday 600-900 a.d. (roughly) and - get this - ONLY lived in S.
Mexico/Guatemala/etc. (i.e., near the Isthmus of Tehuantepec)).

None of the DNA studies have traced the Maya, to my knowledge.
