Subject: Man of Sin, Son of Perdition
As I state in the book, "The Man of Sin Revealed"
There are many anti-Christs, both in number and in level. For a Catholic, it
could be the Pope, if they place him as god in their life. For the political world,
it could be someone like Clinton or Gorbachev. For the secular gadget world, it
might be someone like Bill Gates. For the little child, it could be Barney. For the
Mormons, it could be the Prophet, whom they place in the holy of holies in their heart
instead of Christ ("follow the prophet" instead of "follow Christ" --
though some place the president of the Church in his proper role of bringing them to
Christ).
Nevertheless, a close and careful reading and analysis of II Thes. 2 and Isaiah 66 (as
expounded in the book) shows that ultimate manifestation of the perditional "Man of
Sin" will be a top leader from within the ranks of the Mormon Church. They are
the only people with temples of God (where this person will sit). They are
essentially the only people on earth who can produce sons of perdition. The only way
a person could attain access to the temple and have any degree of attention of the people
is if there was agreement on the highest levels of leadership.
We (generally speaking) wanted a man to follow, rather than God. That is what God
has given us.
But he will not allow that man to lead them all the way to hell. Just to the
brink. Then he steps in. Then D&C 85 is fulfilled.
The Church will not overtly support the mark of the beast, for it would be crossing the
line. Rather, there will be a culture of pressure to take the mark:
underhanded comments, unofficial remarks overhead and passed on. The faithful will
find themselves less and less welcome in the Mormon world. The wheat will be
gathered out from the midst of the tares. The remnant will awake and put on
strength.
The deceivers and hypocrites shall be detected and removed out of their place (D&C
50:4-9; 64:39; 76:30-32; JST-Mark 9:40-48; D&C 90:36).
Like the Mary Magdalene bridal type, the whorish church shall be purified and made a
fit bride for the Lord.
