Preface Note Regarding the
"Appendix: Another Testament"

(Continuing from the Preface.)

So this book had its beginnings in earnest in the Fall of '95.  Then early in 1996, a group of friends assembled for what we called "School of Friends."   We met for five days and had some amazing discussions and experiences.  Our preliminary topic of discussion was D&C 113:7-10, with the question, "What does it mean to 'put on strength'?"

Not long after that assembly I began discovering the "Alphabetics" code, much of which is reported here on this web site.  Briefly, it is that the alphabetical sequence of words contains a code.  Words before and after a key word, going several words away even, comment on that word.  The numbering of the words alphabetically in the Old and New Testament Hebrew and Greek lexicons is even significant, pointing to contemporary people, places, addresses, and even license plates.  Things which we have hitherto thought of as being arbitrary and insignificant end up being a "who's who and what's what" of the latter-day work of the Father.

When I applied this approach to various key words relating to the doctrine of Christ, they further validated what I had already discovered, adding yet further insight themselves.  Hence I added these to the text.  These witnesses were so profound that I was spurred to change the title of this piece to "A New Testament: A Mighty Change for a New World."  The very alphabetical sequence of the words of God ends up being yet "A New Testament."  It is a new witness based on very old canonical languages and texts typeset in the modern world usage.

This book is not the only application of this concept.  This entire web site, www.GreaterThings.com can be considered "Another Testament" as well.  It brings forth additional and new witness for that which we have already been given, adding clarity and confirmation as well as new perspective.  They are part of the "Greater Things" prophesied to come forth to those who will receive that which they have been given.

I have found, however, that the inclusion of these word studies in the text of the book becomes disruptive of the flow of thought, because it is a new approach that people are not used to; so I have placed them in the appendix, hyperlinking to them as I think they best fit within the text.

All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
