NostradamusSeptember 10, 2001
Up until now, I've kind of had Nostradamus on the shelf, not knowing what to think about him, not knowing enough to know if I wanted to know. After watching this show, my interested has been piqued in his writings and prophecies. If I understood correctly, he basically foresaw the end of the world as we know it 500 years after his time -- if . . . if we don't pay heed to the warnings God gives us to mend our ways. Part of the show depicts the king in a joist in which on the third run he is killed, as Nostradamus foretold. Just before the third run, the king's mistress tries to prevail upon him to not go a third time, fearing because of the prophecy. The king hoots in derision and rides to his death. That seems to be a metaphor for the third world war. If we engage a third time, we will be toast. If . . . if. Nostradamus also saw a glorious ending of a blissful society being established. "Mankind will survive" he concluded in bliss during a vision he had while being tortured. The video is rated R, mainly for several sex scenes (Nostradamus' two relationships). They could have produced the show without them, or by not being so graphic. Still, I'm grateful for having watched the show. It instilled in me a heightened sense of urgency to seek to evoke the grand repentance clause -- to turn away the third world war. Either way, I do believe a remnant will survive; but I would prefer the repentance route, rather than the punishment (consequences) route. Sincerely,
PostscriptThe above review was written one day prior to the fateful attacks on the WTC and Pentagon September 11, 2001. An index of prophecies regarding that attack was subsequently created. |
