Not In This Town

Video Review

April 21, 2002

Not In This Town (1997) PG13The best video my wife and I have seen lately is "Not In This Town." It is based on a true story, and is filled with heroic, inspiring moments.

The setting is Billings Montana within the past decade. An Arian Nations group has set up camp and is intent on wreaking havoc against the targets of their hatred. The main heroin of the show is a lady who had converted to Judaism from Protestantism. The question is, should they just lie low as the atrocities become more poignant, to keep from becoming a personal target, or do they stand up against the senseless and mean violence?

You have to see the show. It reverberates throughout many of the crises we see on the planet right now, including those in the Middle East.

Subject: Re: [Greater Things] Not In This Town -- Awesome Movie

It is a very good movie. It was made here in Utah. My sister in law and her kids were in it. She had a cameo appearance as she was the Indian lady painting over the graffiti on the house and here kids were swinging on the swings.

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
