The question has been broached at the Keys of
Knowledge list and at David's Outcasts list as to what this One Mighty and
Strong (OMS) thing is all about as well as what beliefs I might have regarding
myself in relation to this.
Before answering what my beliefs are regarding myself, I will address what
I believe this mission to entail. My hope in doing this is not to set myself
up in any way, but rather to drive home the point that this whole scenario is
designed to elevate the entire human race. Rather than bringing any focus on
myself, I hope that my comments here will leave you more motivated to achieve
the highest that is in yourself in serving your fellowmen.
A foundational teaching of the Mormon faith is that the "work and the
glory" of God is "to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life
of man." In short, like a parent's joys is found in raising a child to be
a successful adult, so is God's joy found in raising his children to be like
he/she is -- a God.
A foundational principle in that "work and glory" of God is the
honoring of the agency of each individual. God will force no man to heaven,
but rather, he invites them with his arm ever extended, working with them day
and night to bring them ever closer to achieving their godly potential.
The fallen nature of the mortal flesh provides a proving ground for the
souls of men. It is a gift that allows us an opportunity to face challenges
and grow by overcoming those challenges.
In pre-planning things in the councils of heaven, and then as people begin
to be born into an earth for their testing/learning/growing/experiencing, God
orchestrates things so as to affect the general outcome in the best possible
direction -- though the bottom line is always the agency of man which allows
him individually and collectively to alter things either for better or for
worse than the original outline provided.
In other words, the history of this planet is like a cosmic play or
theatre. For present purposes we will confine the time of our discussion to
that era beginning at the time of Adam and Eve falling from the garden of Eden
some 6000 years to the wrapping up of things here in another 1000 years, the
next 1000 years being the promised millennium of peace. With each 1000 years
as if a day in the Lord's time, we are about to enter the Lord's Sabbath.
We are at a pivotal point in time. Through the interposition of God's
dealings with man through the various races and religions, the fallen nature
of man has been overcome to a very significant extent, but so also have the
powers of evil been perfected in opposition. Satan is not going to walk away
for 1000 years without putting up a grand final fight.
With this grand plot in mind, let's now take a look at some broad patterns.
First is the pattern of "fall and restoration." The fall of man
initiated in the garden of Eden is going to be overcome. We started in the
garden, so to speak, with Adam and Eve, we fall from the presence of God, and
we are going to be restored to the garden, only this time with the experience
of overcoming under out belts. The first coming of Messiah, of Jesus among the
Jews, was designed to overcome the spiritual/temporal ramifications of the
fall as they pertain to the individual, enabling mankind to overcome their
fallen natures by turning to God who cleanses their hearts of sin and fills
them with the Holy Ghost which will guide them in the paths of righteousness
if they will follow. The physical death for the individual initiated by the
fall is also overcome through Christ and his resurrection.
The second coming of Messiah is designed to overcome the spiritual/temporal
fall on a societal level, establishing an actual government of God on the
earth which will protect the freedoms of all mankind and nurture the agency
and the gifts which each possesses. It will replace the literal kingdom of
Satan which is now in near complete fulfillment on earth (commonly called the
"New World Order"), which is based on coercion, manipulation and
control rather than agency.
So the first coming was about facilitating the individual struggle to
overcome, while the second coming is about facilitating the societal struggle
to overcome.
Combined, these two facets will manifest as changed individuals whose
hearts are inclined voluntarily to God, who work together as a cohesive unit
for the blessing of one another as a group. The scriptures call this Zion.
Now, back to the grand plan, the stage of life here on earth.
Another major theme that is presented in scripture is "The first shall
be last, and the last shall be first."
Translating this statement on a societal scope, we see a grand chiasm of
the religious history of this planet. The first people of God, so to speak,
are the Hebrews, later called the Jews, or the house of Israel. Moses is sent
as their deliverer, and they are established in a "promised land."
Obviously, these people were in a very early stage of spiritual
development, and had to be treated as little children. They had to be told
every thing to do, and they got in lots of trouble. Eventually, they were so
unruly that, like a rebellious teenager, they were booted out of the house,
scattered upon the face of the earth.
The last straw of their rebellion was when they crucified their Messiah on
Calvary, having practiced so well with all their animal sacrifices, which
rituals were given to them to stumble because they desired it. Little did they
realize that they were accomplishing God's purposes by illustrating for all to
see how low mankind can stoop. Somehow, in viewing mankind at his worst, a
miracle takes place in our hearts. As we see ourselves mirrored in that
wickedness; our sins are washed away, as God's Spirit fills our broken hearts,
and our evil dispositions are changed in that fire of God's love so that we
only desire to do what is right. That is the miracle of the cross and the
forgiveness and grace it represents.
Meanwhile, having filled the cup of wickedness, the kingdom was taken from
the Jewish/Israelite husbandmen and was given to the Gentiles to whom the
gospel was then preached with power. The carnal law of Moses was fulfilled,
man had shown how impossible it is to be righteous of his own merits. Now
Christianity, which focuses on the heart being changed, superceded the law of
Moses. The New Testament was added to the Old, which foretold of the New.
But the Gentiles were not immune to falling away either. It wasn't many
generations before they departed from the ideals set forth by Jesus Christ.
According to the thematic prophecy, "the first shall be last, and the
last shall be first," in working his grand plan for restoring his
children from their fallen state, the Lord next starts with the Gentiles.
Joseph Smith comes along and is used by the Lord to not only restore what
Jesus had established anciently, but to take the people of God the next step
forward in their progression. He represented a quantum leap forward for the
Christian world. They who had been last, are now first.
Joseph restores the gospel of Jesus Christ and points the saints toward the
next step which is to have their calling and election made sure.
The change of heart is the beginning of discipleship. From there one
presses forward, feasting upon the words of Christ, which are given through
the power of the Holy Ghost to each individual, whether it be through the
catalyst of the scriptures or through direct revelation. As they prove
themselves steadfast and immovable in this path, the Lord God Omnipotent seals
them his. They graduate from a terrestrial level to a celestial one. They are
numbered among the general assembly of the church of the firstborn. They
mingle with God and his angels. Such an one who turns from this level does so
with full knowledge and becomes a son of perdition. This is the only way one
can become a son of perdition. Such are those who head Satan's kingdom.
What Joseph offered to the early saints was to become joint heirs with
Christ. However, like the children of Israel with Moses, the saints were not
prepared to go the full distance, but only the next step -- which was no
surprise to God in his grand plan.
Like the children of Israel, the Mormons were given things to cause them to
stumble because that is what they desired. Like the children of Israel, the
Mormons backslid from the truths they were given.
Remember, that when I speak of Mormons in this context, I am also thinking
of them in my mind as the latter-day "Gentile" husbandmen.
According to the theme statement, "The first shall be last, and the
last shall be first," the Gentiles are now like the Jews at the time of
Christ.
They are rejecting that which God commissioned them to accomplish. They are
as salt that has lost its savor. Rather than creating a nation of kings and
priests, prophets every one, they are so encumbered by the mentality of
"follow the prophet" (who admits that he receives hardly any new
revelation, saying that we have already been given more than ample from times
past to guide us along), that they now persecute and even cut off from their
membership any who begin to show any trappings of a prophet.
Furthermore, one of their primary commissions was to establish a literal
government of God on the earth. As I mentioned earlier, this is to be a world
government that will protect all mankind in their god-given freedoms.
However, they are so busy gloating that they are not going to repeat the
mistake of the Jews (who thought the kingdom was going to be political when
what Christ came to establish pertained to the individual) that they almost
completely avoid issues of state as a matter of strict policy. Because they
neglect their responsibility toward understanding the proper role of
government and seeking to implement it accordingly, what happens by default is
that they become ignorant about the core principles and actually end up
supporting the Satanic counterfeit that is being set up in the form of the New
World Order.
Because the designated watchman's guard has been down, Satan has been able
to make huge inroads into infiltrating the church along with all other
instruments of society. Hence the rise of the beast that will make war with
the saints and tread them down for three and a half years is a creature which
the church has helped to come into existence. Had they been vigilant as they
were commissioned of God, they would not have allowed this secret combination
to get above them, but would have established the kingdom of God instead.
It is along these lines that the "Davidic Servant" enters the
scene of the LDS world.
He is to Mormonism what Joseph was to Christianity and what Jesus was to
Judaism and what Moses was to Paganism -- each being a quantum leap forward,
though it might have appeared at the time that they were rejected by their
own.
Most importantly, he is to the Mormons what Jesus was to the Jews. He is
the second advent of Messiah. He is the one mighty and strong sent to set the
house of God in order.
The Mormons are prophesied to mar the Davidic Servant, in a parallel to the
Jews' crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The triumphal regeneration or healing
following that marring will be on a parallel with the resurrection. And as
Jesus' mission was about individual salvation, the Davidic Servant's mission
will be about societal salvation; and in conjunction with his healing will
come a miraculous deliverance from the governmental beast which will have
taken a stranglehold upon the entire earth at that point. A nation will be
born in a day. The kingdom of God will be established on earth, no more to be
thrown down. It will be Zion, a celestial people and city. It will start
small, but will eventually (after the next 1000 years) fill the whole earth.
Meanwhile, (as most citizens of the earth following the pending tribulations
will be of a terrestrial order, none telestial having made it through the
purgings of their own making) this Zion will be the capital of the world
government that will reign in righteousness under Christ for 1000 years.
When the Mormons mar the Davidic Servant is when the times of the Gentiles
is fulfilled. They will have filled the measure of their iniquity, and the
kingdom will be taken from them and given back to the house of Israel. Then is
when the 144,000 go forth to bring in as many as will to the church of the
firstborn, which is a celestial order. The world at large will still be very
wicked during this time, for the final purgings of the whole earth have not
yet happened. The Jews will not yet be converted.
Meanwhile, the heat is next turned up in Israel, and they have a showdown
there as prophesied in the Bible -- which we will have already gone through
over here. It is at the conclusion of that showdown that the two prophets are
killed and lay in the streets of their city for three and one half days, after
which they are brought back to life. It is then that the Jews are miraculously
delivered from the invading armies that will have camped round about them. It
is then that Jesus Christ appears to them and shows them the marks in his
hands and in his feet and they ask the dreaded question, to which he replies,
"These are the wounds with which I was wounded in the house of my
friends." And another nation is born in a day. They are converted. The
stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the headstone of their
corner.
All this is a parallel to what will have happened here in America with the
Mormons and the Davidic Servant a few years prior to that time. The stone
which they rejected is become the head stone of their corner in the New
Jerusalem that they then build.
The difference between the first and second advents of Messiah is that the
first coming was of the Son of God to the Jews. The second advent is of the
Father to the Mormons. The Father and the Son are one (as we all are to become
one), hence Messiah is one, though the mission is split into these various
advents.
So yes, the Davidic Servant who is to be marred by the Mormons, who are the
Gentile husbandmen of the Lord's vineyard, is the Father come in the flesh.
And like Jesus, he is a model paradigm for every man -- not one to forever
remain on an untouchable pedestal, but one that each is to emulate and attain.
Jesus came to facilitate the movement of man from the telestial to the
terrestrial. The Father comes to facilitate the movement of man from the
terrestrial to the celestial.
Meanwhile, as this grand plot has unfolded through the last 6000 years,
elsewhere on the planet God has been working with the various races and
religions of people in the way best suited to their level of growth. We might
consider these various other movements as subplots to the main theme.
Though individuals like Moses, Jesus, Joseph Smith and the Davidic Servant
might receive a large portion of attention in prophecy about the unfolding of
this grand plan of God, there are hundreds of thousands of other noble souls
who have worked miracles among their people to bring them to a higher state of
spirituality and harmony one with another. Each of these, in a certain regard
is functioning after the order of God, and are as a Messiah to those whom they
serve.
Furthermore, this is not the only planet in the universe where such a plot
is unfolding. There are many that have gone before, many that are in a phase
similar to our own, and many which will yet pass through this grand plan of
progression for human beings to Godhood.
Hence, though not all on this planet on this go around will be in a
position to carry the weight of the entire planet on their shoulders as Jesus
Christ did for us, eventually every one will accomplish just such a feat as
they ascend in their spiritual progression.
All truly are equal in the sight of God. All have the same potential. All
are given the same full access to achieving their full potential, whether it
takes a few lifetimes or millions.
Furthermore, humans are not the only ones involved in this grand plan of
progression. The animal kingdom, the insect kingdom, the plant kingdom, the
microbial kingdom, the mineral kingdom are all likewise progressing within
their spheres and then graduating to the next sphere upon successfully
overcoming and mastering the previous sphere of growth.
Our existence did not begin as humans, but before that we progressed
through and mastered all the facets of the animal kingdom. We began as the
most simple of elements, which to illustrate according to our current level of
scientific knowledge would be the quark inside of an atom.
So by the time we become a full-fledged God, reigning in righteousness over
our own creations and soul stewardships, we will be able to say we are
"in all things and through all things," for we will have been all
things, and will be fully connected into the oneness that is inherent in all
things.
And even as there is progress within the human sphere, so is there progress
among those who have graduated into the domain of godhood. And part of that
progress and joy is found in descending yet again into the human sphere,
complete with the veil of forgetting one's previous existence, to help the
family of mankind progress further along their journey.
The Father(and Mother) coming in the flesh is not the only occurrence of
those who have achieved the level of godhood coming down to this planet to
help things along.
And like the others, he(and she) too has the veil drawn. He too must
overcome like everyone else. He too must learn who he is and what his mission
is and then carry it out according to his agency. He too can fail by choosing
another path.
This was true of Jesus as well. He did not know fully what his mission was
about until it was fully accomplished. He too had to grow line upon line,
grace for grace, having things unfolded to him a step at a time.
Once he accomplished his mission in the flesh and was resurrected, that
veil was removed and his former glory restored with the added honor of having
accomplished his earthly mission as planned.
So it will be with the Father (and Mother). He will grow grace for grace,
line upon line, his mission unfolding step by step until it is accomplished.
For him (& her) the crowning event will be following the marring and
healing, and will take place at Adam-On-Diahman. This is the event spoken of
in Daniel chapter 7.
This will be yet a few years before the world as a whole is purified and
"translated" as it were from a telestial to a terrestrial sphere. He
will reign in the New Jerusalem which will be established on this earth as a
place of gathering of the elect of God who come into the general assembly of
the church of the firstborn.
Note the name of the church according to Doctrine and Covenants 88:5:
"The Church of the Firstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, through
Jesus Christ his Son."
Another facet of this Davidic Servant ministry that is very important to
mention is that while the Father himself is THE Davidic Servant, there will be
MANY who function after that order, being of similar spiritual progression,
though the gamut actually spans from the least to the greatest. Just as Jesus
said, "What manner of men ought ye to be? Even as I am;" so also is
the Davidic Servant ministry one that is meant to be emulated not isolated.
Indeed, the work of the Father could not be accomplished except it be through
an army of individuals who come into this order and are rightly called
"ones mighty and strong" or "Davidic Servants."
It is just like there is not just ONE anti-Christ that will arise in these
latter-days, though there will be one in particular who more than any other
will epitomize that role. There are many anti-Christs and there are many
Christs, in this regard. Those who submit themselves to the power of the
devil, work for his army and are his, and those who submit themselves to the
power of God above, work for his army and are his. As the issues become
clearer and more obvious, all mankind will align themselves in either one camp
or the other.
But even that alignment is not permanent, for someone who aligns himself
now with Satan might in some distant future realize that he no longer desires
that for himself and will choose light once again. Likewise, those who
currently choose light can by their agency later choose darkness.
Eventually, I believe, all will choose to grow into full godhood, after all
their experiences. That is where their souls will gravitate. Those who spend
time-out in outer darkness and are recycled are included in the number who may
eventually ascend to godhood if they so choose.
The principle here, again, is equality. Let's take the most extreme case to
illustrate this. He(&she) who now is serving in the capacity of Satan,
leading the hosts of those who rebel against God, may eventually repent and
turn to God and grow into full godhood.
What I am saying is that the mission of One Mighty and Strong is not one of
elitism, but rather one of service and one of equality, working for the
salvation of all mankind -- based fundamentally on the principle of agency.
God will force no man to heaven.
So that is my view of what the Davidic Servant is all about.
More in-depth coverage of various facets of this paradigm may be found in
an index
of studies related to the Davidic Servant at
<http://www.greaterthings.com/Davidic_Servant>
That index is not an exhaustive one, but is ample to provide sufficient
substantiation for the paradigm, including a list of scriptures that speak of
the Father coming in the flesh in the latter-days.
The best substantiation is found in the chiasms and parallels and
alphabetics word studies. In other words, God has encoded into the very
language of scripture the mystery I have just explained. The tools for
unlocking that grand riddle include chiasmus, parallelism, and alphabetics
word-number decoding.
But as in all things, these tools are not designed to operate absent the
Holy Ghost, but rather are designed to be catalysts for God to teach one the
truth that he may know it for himself. Nor are these the only tools. They are
the tools that I have been gifted to understand and utilize. Others have other
gifts to bring other means of learning truth. All these are designed to work
together.
It has been through these means that I have found strong reason to believe
as I do in regards to my role of service in relation to this mission of the
vast quorum of Ones Mighty and Strong.
If you wish to peruse various of those witnesses, they are found indexed
for the most part at
<http://www.greaterthings.com/Bio>
Other documents which I do not care to index publicly may be found by doing
various word searches at the site. You will see there my private struggle to
come to understand what this is all about and to be faithful in carrying out
what it is I am supposed to do in harmony with others similarly called.
I don't know for sure what my mission is in all of this. Like you I am in
process of learning what it is and doing my best to be faithful to it as it is
revealed to me.
The most important thing for you to do is to find out what your
foreordained mission is for God and to carry it out successfully. If you do
so, then you are also included in the quorum called "One Mighty and
Strong." You become a prophet. You become a priest/ess and king/queen to
the most high God. You find a fullness of joy.
That is where I am coming from on this. May we find great joy together as
we unitedly roll up our sleeves and carry forth the great and marvelous work
of the Lord.
That is my prayer.
Sincerely,
Sterling D. Allan
