So ... you're suggesting we put back in the schools:
1) The God who commanded the Israelites to slaughter all the Canaanites who
were living in "their" land?
2) The God who says: "Those enemies of mine who did not want me to be
king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me." (Luke
19:27)
3) The God whose poet proclaimed: "Blessed is he who dashes your
infants' heads against the rocks." (Psalm 137:9)
4) Not to mention the book of Revelation.
I don't see how bringing God back into the classrooms will set a nonviolent
tone!
