Revelation 14:9-12 R.E. fate of those who succumb and take the mark
"And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man
worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire
and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest
day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the
mark of his name."
"Here [therefore, in contrast] is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep
the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus [implying that faith in Jesus must
necessarily include hearkening to his warnings regarding the beast, etc...]."
Revelation 15:2-4 R.E. those who gain the victory
"And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire [earth made into
Celestial Urim & Thummin]: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast,
and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea
of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and
the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God
Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O
Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for [in contrast to the satanic
worship of the beast] all nations shall come and worship before thee; for
thy judgments are made manifest."
Revelation 16:1,2 R.E. vials of wrath, grievous sore on those who take the mark
"And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your
ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and
poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore
upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his
image."
Revelation 19:19-21 R.E. destruction of the beast & those deceived into taking
his mark
"And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered
together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And
the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with
which he deceived them that had received the mark of
the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a
lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of
him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls
were filled with their flesh."
Revelation 20:4 R.E. reward for those who do not take the mark of the beast
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and
I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his
mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years."
