The Lord Can't Be Pleased with the General LDS Indulgence in so much Meat

Hi,

I have been a member of the LDS Church all my life (I am now 50 years old).

Like most members of the church I was brought up to belief that the eating of meat was ordained by God and that animals were put on this earth for us to use. From a very early age I have known that eating animals was wrong.

Three years ago I decided to give up on the American diet and became a lacto vegetarian and a year later became vegan. Since becoming vegan I've never felt better and am as fit as I've ever been in my life (I competed in 2 marathons last year). You have a message on your site which more members of the church need to hear.

I find it disgusting to go to a Relief Society social and see "Good Active Members" eating a meal which would disappoint the Lord. I am concerned for the overall health of the church in general and don't believe we as a people would be much use if we were called upon to protect our beliefs. Please keep up this good work. Thank you for reinforcing what I belief.
