I strongly disagree with J.J.'s statement:

One of the ways that the Lord is going to make bare his arm in these last
days where a belief in God is so passéé in our "highly advanced
civilization," is that he is going to show us that he saw the end from
the beginning and that he foresaw the destructions and cataclysms that we are
going to bring upon ourselves because we have not been a God-believing
society. The words of Isaiah in particular are going to be fulfilled before
our eyes. They do not bode well at all, and so far as I can tell we are right
on course in seeing their fulfillment.
Also, regarding accuracy of prophetic utterances, not only are the direct
prophecies going to be shown to have been astonishingly accurate, but the
coded prophecies are proving even more amazing in how detailed they are in
specifying people, places, events, dates, addresses, etc.
> The greatest antichrist in our history (Hitler) was defeated by the

Hitler was but a step in Satan's plan to establish global hegemony. He was
a temporary pawn in the hands of those who are engineering what is today
called the "New World Order," which will be a fulfillment on earth
what Satan presented to God's children before the foundations of this world
were laid, which was the basis for the war in heaven, and for which he and a
third of the hosts of heaven were cast out and are now here in spirit form
seeking to see the fulfillment here of what he proposed there.
Daniel and John both prophesied that his world dominion would be temporary,
3.5-years, during which it would make war with the saints and prevail,
followed by the fall of this beast of Babylon and the rise of the kingdom of
God on earth.
With the advent today of computers, microchips, Global Positioning System,
Universal Product Codes, bar scanners, we are now poised like never before to
see a full fledged implementation of the mark of the beast being taken in the
right hand or in the forehead -- an actual microchip for identification,
without which no man will be able to buy or sell -- and those who refuse to
take this mark will be put to death under a Marshall law type scenario because
of whatever crisis has instigated it.
The United States has become the major headquarters for implementing this
socialist New World Order, proposing up Russia and China, who's ultimate
ideology holds the Constitution of the United States and this free country to
be their number one enemy. Both of these nations, as well as many other enemy
nations, possess weapons of mass destruction which they plan to use on the
United States at some point in time.
They are not going to just give up those weapons by virtue of a disarmament
treaty. The only ones who abide by such treaties are the ignorant and honest
free countries, who have the most to loose. The communists have never abided
by their treaties, and we continue to make treaties with them.
The Communists/Socialists of the world have taken virtually every
stronghold in the world and are poised and ready for their final victory
What they have in store, and even the means they have employed to get to
where they are today, pale Hitler in comparison. Hitler has the blood of
several millions on his hands. These Communists, and those conspiratorial
sympathizers in the West who have helped them to succeed, already have the
blood of hundreds of millions on their hands, and have plans for a drastic
reduction of earths population, to bring it down to a more
"sustainable" level.
Disarmament is not the answer until hearts have been changed, and that
certainly is not the environment we find ourselves in today.

Yes, a repentance clause is always available, but it is contingent upon
massive repentance, and frankly, I don't see yet anywhere near close to
happening on the level required. And ironically, making such statements as
J.J. makes here only plays into the hands of Satan as it tends to put a person
off guard, that they think all is well, and we are going to sail into the
1000-year reign of peace with maybe just a few blips here and there (as the
Mormon President Gordon B. Hinckley puts it). Satan thrives when those who are
in a position to thwart him are put at ease.

I would rejoice if the destructions were turned away because of repentance.
In fact, it is a primary motivation of mine to see just such clauses of
repentance brought into play. However, again I stress that I do not see the
world as having come even close to the necessarily degree of repentance to
turn away what they have coming to them. We have not valued the freedom we've
been given in the United States and in the West in General, and have built up
the enemies who plot our destruction, and are going to see the consequences of
our foolishness. The scriptures describe the calamities as coming in "an
instant suddenly." World conditions today are ripe for seeing just such a
thing come to pass. Yes, it would be nice if people repented sufficiently to
turn such things away, but we have not even come close to the level of
repentance required. Destruction hangs heavy over our heads. It is at a time
of peace that this sudden destruction comes -- a time when people say,
"all is well."
Earlier in his post, J.J. spoke of:
> (1) The Jonah principle. Remember the story of Jonah where he definitely

so

I agree that this is indeed a very important part of prophecy. Prophecies
of God are not designed to tell us what WILL happen as much as what COULD
happen if a certain disastrous course is not altered. We are not even close to
turning away what we have coming to us.

<snip>
I see that you see great doom ahead for the bulk of humanity, but such has
not been decreed by God. We have been warned of it but we are in no way doomed
to mass destruction.
You seem to have a mindset on this very similar to Fundamentalists
Christians using a literal interpretation of the Scriptures. I take a
different approach. Even though I study many scriptures the black and white
words are far from the final verdict with me. What is then? It is the
whisperings of the Holy Spirit given through my soul. So when I look to the
future what does the Spirit say:
It says with great power to me these words:
"My will is not to destroy, but to save . Go forward in the great work
of the salvation of my sons and daughters. Give hope to the whole of the human
race."
What I receive is the opposite of what I hear from many Bible believers.
They see God up there on his throne in a very agitated state because we have
not gone through someone's interpretation of repentance. In many cases those
who are preaching repentance to the world are the ones I greatest need of it.
To see nothing but doom and gloom on the horizon feeds negative energy into a
thoughtform that could bring on some type of mass destruction if enough energy
were poured into it.
What should we do then? Should we blissfully go ahead in denial of the
dangers that face us?
No, but neither should we allow the dangers to be our prime focus of
attention. Make reasonable preparations for the dangers that face us, but
focus on the positive. Let us not be like Jonah and sit back and wait for God
to bring fire down on the wicked, but let us go forward with a true salvation
and work to save the race of men and women from their lack of hope. If we
bring them hope through the soul then they will look forward to a better
world. Energy follows thought and if the mass of humanity hope for a better
world then energy will be created that will make this happen.
I liked Judes statement: "I do know..that being in the software
industry that the Y2K 'miracle' that we all witnessed (and some felt deceived
that it was a hype] was a definite sign that humanity pulled together (kind of
like the Apollo 13 mission) and saved the day. It was not an accident that
this went off without a glitch."
Good point. Just as humanity pulled together and prevented disaster through
Y2K we can also pull together and guide humanity into the coming age of peace
with a minimal of problems.
I felt a strange feeling when we were watching TV on New Years Eve, and in
time zone after time zone watched the peoples of the earth rejoice at the new
millennium and the non effect of the Y2K bug.
The people of the whole planet had heard all the doom predicted and when
they saw with their own eyes that we had pulled together and solved the
problem I sensed very strongly it gave them hope that we could also pull
together as a human race and solve the greater problems pr the world that
threaten us. I felt a partial lifting of the negative thoughtform that has
plagued us for so long.

Of course, it is ideal to 'accentuate the positive' and who wouldn't vote for
redemption versus destruction. But while we are all starry-eyed and
idealistic, I just can't forget about all those Russians and Chinese, the
reality of which is still Tienamen Square and Chechnya (as we sit and talk
nice things). Also, talking of creating better thought forms than the
Fundamentalist Christian one etc. sounds great and is a better place to put
one's energy, agreed. But this policy in no way counteracts the overall
prophecy that the coming world dictator, the final AntiChrist...'enters
peaceably'. He comes into power ON A PEACE PLATFORM. Deals are made with
Israel to protect them and resolve the Mid-East trouble, but after 3.5 years
of "peace", the Beast powers turn on Israel and reveals his hidden
agenda....etc.etc. Maybe this is a bad thought form, Im just reporting what
the prophecy is, not trying to support or deny it. My point is that with the
prophecised World Dictator 'coming in peaceably', and with such scriptural
quotes as 'for when they say peace and safety; then cometh swift destruction',
I don't see as how a 'think peace' attitude necessarily betrays the story as
it is reported. In fact, it plays right into the hands of the coming world
deception mindset. But hey, I'll vote for some universal miracle, and support
it all the way. But if the good ol' USA wakes up nuked back to the stone age
also; neither will I be one to be the least bit surprised. Don't mean to leak
on anyone's parade...I just still smell rain. brian
