Gordon B. Hinckley is Helping Al Gore and Joseph Lieberman Get Elected...
President,
Gordon B. Hinckley, of the LDS church, has demonstrated immense religious,
social, and political influence in the west and indeed throughout the entire
nation. Many Mormons and non-Mormons alike have come to highly regard the
charm, teachings and political influence of Gordon B. Hinckley. President
Hinckley, has recently written and published a book to the world called; 'Standing For
Something'. This book has proven to be very popular to Mormons and
non-Mormons alike. The LDS Church's public affairs dept. recently reported
that "Standing For Something is on the Publisher's Weekly, top 10, best
seller list - the book has also appeared on the USA Today, Amazon.com, and New
York Times, best seller lists, and is selling well across the country."

Gordon Hinckley chose to highly favor Joseph Lieberman, by using Lieberman's
endorsement for his book, 'Standing For Something' (see this endorsement on
the back cover of 'Standing For Something', by Gordon B. Hinckley). To many,
Joseph Lieberman's widely published endorsement of Gordon Hinckley's book may
seem innocent enough, but to those in the pro-life movement this is considered
to be a very grave situation because Joseph Lieberman's, becoming Al Gore's,
Vice-presidential running mate boosted Al Gore's standing in the Poles 7
percentage points (See article 'Immoral Majority' Salt Lake Tribune, Oct. 3,
2000). Also, consider the facts that Joseph Lieberman is, himself, a world
wide leader in the pro-abortion movement: As a senator, Lieberman, has voted 5
times for the heinous practice of 
'partial-birth abortion' (the abortionist
delivers a woman's son or daughter to near complete delivery; the neck,
shoulders, arms, body, and legs are all OUTSIDE of the womb. The abortionist
then stops the child's delivery, at this point the arms and legs of the child
can clearly be seen moving back and forth as the child struggles to free
themselves from this uncomfortable position. The abortionist then steadies the
child and positions the back of their head for access. At this point the
abortionist strikes the child in the back of the head with a scissor-like
instrument and makes an opening to the brain. Next the abortionist inserts a
suction tube into the opening and sucks out the brains of the child, causing
the arms and legs of the child to fall limp, as the child is killed). Joseph
Lieberman has demanded through 5 votes as a senator that this barbaric
practice be continued. Joseph Lieberman, has also voted for; tax funding of
abortions, (he wants all of us to pay for abortions with our taxes) and Fetal
experimentation, (in true 'Hitler like' fashion he wants to experiment on

National Right to Life Committee, press release; August 7, 2000). Like
Hitler's atrocities with the Jews, Al Gore, Joseph Lieberman and the
Democratic party platform have done everything possible to de-humanize
children, and de-sensitize the American public so that they can carry out
their ghastly holocaust against millions. They have declared that children in
the womb are 'non-persons' or 'only potential persons' and have pushed this
upon many Americans who claim to believe in the Bible. Realize that the Bible
always calls a pregnant woman, 'a woman with child', or 'a woman carrying a
babe' etc. Clearly, in Gods eyes, these are children, babes, persons, etc.,
(see Gen. 16:11, Eccl. 11:5, Matt. 1:18, Matt.1:23, Luke 2:5 and many more)
and God, from the beginning, has shown that no children come by accident and
only God can place a child in the womb (see Job 31:15, Ps. 127:3, Isaiah.
44:2&24, Jer.1:5 and many more). Realize the hidden truth that God has
commanded the strictest protections for children in the womb. (see Exodus
21:22-23). Yet, they openly make war against all of these obvious scriptural

Gordon B. Hinckley, has also given open support for the Democratic party as a
whole. At a meeting with the press, President Hinckley, was asked; "Given
the platform and positions taken by the Democratic party, can you be a good
Mormon church member and a Democrat? Hinckley's reply, 'yes, I think so. I
don't know why you couldn't we've got lots of Democrats in the church, lots of
them, and they are good people, I don't worry about this too much... WELL
WE'VE GOT A DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENCY AND ANOTHER CANDIDATE MARKED OUT FOR THE
FUTURE" (transcript National Press, Questions and Answers with President
Gordon B. Hinckley of the, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,
'Mormons' March 8,2000). Combining this statement with Lieberman's widely
publicized endorsement, Gordon B. Hinckley may well have given Al Gore and
Joseph Lieberman what many political analysts believe they need the most in
order to win the election, 'a better moral image'. Through Lieberman's widely
publicized endorsement in Gordon B. Hinckley's book, many may be led to
believe that Gore and Lieberman must not really be 'all that bad'. In an
election as close as this election is proving to be, this may well be the
straw that tips the scales in the Gore-Lieberman direction, especially in
California where Gordon B. Hinckley's opinion and political influence are
highly regarded. For those who doubt the LDS church President's political
influence in California, we ask you to remember the recent passage of the
highly controversial 'Knight amendment', remember the President of the LDS
church was very influential in the passage of this amendment. We realize the
love and regard Mormons have for their prophet and the fact that many will be
quick to defend him regardless of what he does. Please realize, however, that
Gordon B. Hinckley's open support of the Democratic party and Lieberman may
well help bring about America's darkest hours. American society has been well
trained to regard the endorsements of athletes, actors, and political figures.
To pretend that Lieberman's endorsement is no big deal, would be like
pretending that popular athlete's endorsements of shoes, didn't help the shoe
manufacturers or the athletes that endorsed them. Honesty requires us to admit
that Lieberman's published endorsement of Hinckley's widespread book, also
gives an endorsement of Lieberman by President Hinckley.
We are here today to beg and plead with you, Please ask Gordon B. Hinckley, to
publicly denounce Joseph Lieberman, and remove Lieberman's endorsement from
his book 'Standing For Something'. Please ask President Hinckley to denounce
the barbaric 'Hitler like' holocaust of abortion being upheld and spread by Al
Gore, Joseph Lieberman and the Democratic party. You can call the office of
the, LDS First Presidency, at 1-801-240-1000. [click here for
petition] Please call them and tell them you would like them to stand on
the side of little children. Think of the powerful influence it would have on
the American society to have a well known figure like, President Gordon B.
Hinckley, of the LDS church, hold a, world wide, news conference to publicly
denounce Al Gore and Joseph Lieberman, and their barbaric practice of
partial-birth abortion. We know some of you may have concerns about the tax
implications of taking a political stand. And while there is some evidence the
IRS has attacked the tax exempt status of some Christian organizations which
have taken a stand against liberal candidates and policies (see, Salt Lake
Tribune, June 11, 1999, 'Christian Coalition Loses Tax Exempt Status'), while
ignoring other religions which have openly upheld liberal candidates and
policies; bear in mind, you wouldn't be asking for anything more than a
straight forward correction, rejection, and reversal by President Gordon B.
Hinckley, of political ties and statements he has made in the first place and
therefore should not be attacked by the IRS, anymore than his former support
has been.
Some members of the Mormon Church and some non-members as well may not be
fully aware of the Mormon Church's official policy and doctrine on abortion.
To verify the facts that we will next give, we ask you to please call the
office of the LDS First Presidency at 1-801-240-1000... We have found
that a thorough examination of the official policy of the Mormon Church on
abortion reveals the possible reason why President Gordon B. Hinckley has
shown support for the Democratic Party and Joseph Lieberman. Like the
Democratic Party, the LDS Church officially makes allowances for abortions in
5 cases. President Hinckley has publicly outlined the official policy of the
LDS church on abortion stating; "We make allowance in such circumstances
as when the pregnancy is the result of (1)incest or (2)rape, when the (3)life
or (4)HEALTH of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in
serious jeopardy, or (5)when the fetus is known by competent medical authority
to have serious defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond
birth...In these circumstances those who face the question are asked to
consult with their local ecclesiastical leaders and to pray in great
earnestness, RECEIVING A CONFIRMATION THROUGH PRAYER BEFORE PROCEEDING."

numbers added for clarification) Please note the similarities between the
Mormon policy on abortion and the Roe Vs. Wade, Supreme Court, ruling which
legalized abortion in this country. Roe V. Wade states; "A state is
forbidden to forbid an abortion if in the opinion of one licensed physician an
abortion is deemed necessary to preserve the life or health of the
mother". Another Supreme Court ruling 'Doe Vs. Bolton' clarified what the
word 'HEALTH' means, '...health is any mental or physical difficulty arising
from pregnancy...' Please realize that all Pro-Life Organizations oppose
abortions that are done in the cases of risk to HEALTH, particularly for
mental stress cases, i.e. deformity of the child, rape, incest, un-wed teenage
pregnancy, etc (all of these abortions are legal merely for mental stress
reasons). Roughly 95% of all abortions are done for so-called HEALTH 'physical
and MENTAL' reasons, basically these are all that are legal in the U.S. From
these facts you can see what a tragedy it is for the Mormon Church to sanction
abortions in the cases of jeopardy to life or HEALTH. Also, please realize
that the facts and studies show that a woman always suffers much greater
trauma later in life from the abortion and the reality that she killed an
innocent child, than from the assault of rape or incest (see the facts at
www.castlenet.com /~life4utah). Ask yourself, in these cases, what would Jesus
do? Surely He wouldn't kill the child for the sin of their father. Realize
that Christians who follow Christ, cherish all children regardless of how
their conception took place. Surely, the only Christian solution here is to
offer these children for adoption in cases where the mother's stress is great.
Also, it should be pointed out that, it is never necessary to purposely kill a
child because the child may have severe defects that will not allow them to
survive beyond birth. If they are going to die then it is God's will, but if
we purposely kill them, then we are following the same old notions of Hitler
and others who believe only the healthy have a right to live and the less than
perfect can be eliminated. Many Mormons also argue devoutly for abortions
where the mother's life may be at risk. They are unwilling to accept the
medical and ethical fact that it is never necessary to purposely kill the
child to save the mother (see the facts at www.castlenet.com /~life4utah).
Yes, save the mother by bringing the child forth, but never purposely stick a
knife in the child and ensure their death by abortion. Bring them forth alive
and give them every chance along with the mother for life, thus loving them as
we love ourselves, as Jesus has asked. Realize the only question here is
whether to bring the child out alive or bring them out dead. Purposely killing
them only ensures that they will not survive. Sadly, our society has been
filled with mottos and slogans concerning abortion that have no basis in fact,
and that many have given very little thought to. Actually it is out of a lust
for money, power, and blood that the abortion industry has misled the American
public into believing that parents should purposely kill their children in
such cases. As a Pro-Life group we have never witnessed greater support for
abortion than the Mormon belief that their god will give a so-called 'divine
confirmation' for parents to kill their own children. Obviously there can be
no greater support for abortion than to believe your god confirms you should
do it. This doctrine frighteningly resembles the child sacrifices Satanists
have committed down through the ages. Realize that God has never allowed
anyone to actually kill their own child in the entire thousands of years
history, covered by the scriptures, and has repeatedly condemned such
sacrifices, while Satan has always shown this to be his highest act of

The Bible speaks of a Beast that would rise up in the last days: A new world
order, built up by blood and bondage. Mormons have a similar ancient prophecy
that warns; "It is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto
you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins and suffer not that these
murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power
and gain--and the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of
the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and
destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be. Wherefore the Lord
commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall
awake to a sense of your awful situation, BECAUSE OF THIS SECRET COMBINATION
WHICH SHALL BE AMONG YOU; or woe be unto you, because of the blood of them who
have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also
upon those who built it up. For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up
seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations and countries; and it
bringeth to pass the destruction of all people..." (Ether 8:23,24) We
urge you to believe the Lord's report, there is a beast, built up by blood,
stand up, preserve yourself and your children.
