Sterling, My dear brother in Christ,
Greetings in the name of the Most High, Yahweh El
Shaddai Elohim, through the bond of the love of His Son Yeshua Messiah Jesus
Christ our lord, and the anointing of His Holy Spirit YHWH...The Living
Breath!
I ministered in "word" and song in Hawaii from
the 2nd. of February which was the date of the first "Peace Concert"
with the Brigham Young University Choir, until the 6th. of February which was
the date of the last concert performance with the BYU choir. The first concert
was held in the auditorium of the Cannon Activities Center on the BYU campus.
Between the 2nd. and the 6th. of Feb. there were five major performances which
consisted of both musical and oratory gifting. These ministry outreaches in
music and sermons were all part of the International World Peace Conference in
honor of some of the world's greatest world peace leaders with specific
emphasis on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Bishop Desmond Tutu, Gandhi, Mandela [see
tangent comment below], and Mother Theresa....my presentation to the
conference was to remind them that the greatest world peace leader of all time
was Jesus Christ of Nazareth: The Prince of Peace without Whom, the reality of
true peace in the world would just be a figment of our imagination.....they
conceded; they applauded; they praised God and prayed together in the name of
Jesus Christ, for true peace and brotherhood to be pursued and embraced by all
people, all nations, and all governments throughout the world for the
preservation of civilization on planet Earth. This conference was sponsored by
BYU of Hawaii and The United States Military ( Schofield Army Base, Fort
Shafter Flats Missile Defense Base, and Hickam Air Force Base). This
conference was strategically planned to coincide with the recognition of
African-American Heritage Month. After the first concert on the opening night
of the conference on the BYU campus, the BYU choir and their visiting guests
from across the country and across the world, along with myself, moved on to
our next stop on the island of Oahu which was Hickam Air Force Base for our
next ministry outreach of the "Word" in song and sermon on the 4th.
Feb. for an afternoon session, then on to Schofield Army Chapel for an evening
concert performance, where I had the pleasure of meeting Chaplain Harrison, a
Mormon chaplain on the Base with whom I immediately established a very strong
spiritual connection that developed into a very beautiful friendly
relationship...we spent much of the next day together as he escorted me on a
wonderful tour of the Base including Pearl Harbor Naval Air Force Base...I
learned that day that he was from Provo and since I minister extensively in
the Utah Valley, we had a lot to talk about...it was a true blessing. The
Spirit of Christ was all over this man! It wasn't about religion between
us.....it was about relationship with Christ. The next day, the
"team" moved the conference on to the University of Hawaii in
Honolulu as we "tracked" the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the
"move of God" across the tropical little island of Oahu...the BYU
choir was awesome and unparalleled in their performance under the musical
directing of Miss Gail Blanche Gill from Trinidad, British West Indies, and
Mr. Shelton Becton, the musical director for Roberta Flack, from New York
City, himself a musical and spiritual giant in Christ.
The following week, my ministry on the island was
strictly focused on the United States Military personal...officers, servicemen
and service women. Many came to know Jesus Christ in a way they had never
known Him before, and to embrace the vision of world peace through the message
of The Prince of Peace! My actual stay on the island was from January 23rd. to
February 14th. The name of Jesus Christ was lifted up...broken hearts, broken
souls, and even broken homes, were healed and mended by the power of love and
a strong sense of unity between many people of different religious backgrounds
as we laid down our differences and met each other on the common ground of
faith in Jesus Christ....I am returning on the 10th. of May to continue what
God started there during that missionary outreach. I will minister unto and
fellowship with the Brigham Young University campus, the University of Hawaii
campus, and The United States Military personal. The only difference this time
is that I will be ministering to several different local churches there also.
To God be all the honor and glory, and may the blessings of The
Almighty........................................
Be with you,
Always.
The "Servant"
Brother John Bayley.
