 | Alphabetics: God the Father and Mother
The very first word of the Hebrew Old Testament, listed
alphabetically, is Ab "Father." Ab is spelled aleph,
bet and corresponds to the English word: ALPHABET. This is fitting, as
the whole premise of Alphabetics is that in the alphabetical
sequence of scriptural words is a testimony of the work of the Father in
these latter days, revealing who's who and what's what. (5/18/99) |
 | Parallels > Commentary: Saved by Grace Notwithstanding All We Can Do:
Commentary on 2 Ne. 7:2 = 25:23 Parallel
The very familiar and vastly misinterpreted verse in II Nephi
25:23 saying "we are saved by grace, after all we can do," is
shown to mean, "notwithstanding all we can do" by a
parallel that spans the entire book of Second Nephi, showing that the grace
of God is necessary every step of the way in our walk as a disciple, not
just "after all we can do." (5/10/99) |

 | Alphabetics: -835 and Manti in the Bible
Manti, Utah (telephone prefix -835) probably has more
excommunicated ("apostasy") Mormons per capita than any
other town in the world. Words 835 and pages 835 in the Old and New
Testament lexicons contain extensive commentary germane to Manti.
