I am not opposed to Christianity in its pure essence. I'm saying that Christians
are hypocritical to condemn the Koran's teachings on violence, because the same sort of teachings
are found in the Bible. Read the article, not just the title.

True Islam is not more murderous and demonic in its essence than Christianity.
Using kirkz' line of logic, one could easily make the
same statements about how murderous and demonic Christianity is. I've seen people make
this argument against Christianity

But that is not the true essence of Christianity.
The Crusades, the Inquisition, the command to slay every man woman and child, etc.
The Bible is a bloody book, and some have used that as a justification to be bloody
themselves, but that is not the essence of Christianity.
The essence (highest manifestation, minus the degradations of man) of Christianity and
of Islam are the same and embrace the same God, and the redeemer of mankind, Jesus
Christ.
