CHINESE WORKERS BARELY SUBSIST
WHILE FACTORY PROFITS PAY FOR
WAR MATERIALS TO FIGHT U.S.A.

Their Low-Wage Workers Can't Afford
To Buy Our U.S.-Made Merchandise
By Jim Welch

The argument that if we trade with the Red Chinese and enrich them by
running massive trade deficits with them, the common man in China will
suddenly become more wealthy and not seek to make war is both a faulty
and dangerous position.
First of all, the obscene trade deficits of approaching 100 BILLION
dollars a year is NOT going into the pockets of the average Chinese
worker.  It is being kept by that tyrannical communist government and
being spent on enlarging and modernizing their military capabilities. So
forget the idea that the average worker's standard of living will rise to
such a degree that he will become a "capitalist".
Furthermore, it is extremely foolish and dangerous to provide your
self-avowed enemy with means to better improve its ability to attack you.
Additionally, a major component of the thinking of the "free traders"
(I prefer the spelling "traitors") is that war cannot come if all the
nations are interdependent on each other.  The idea is "interdependence",
not "independence."  Of course, this "interdependence" between nations
weakens the sovereignty of each, which then makes world government an
easier concept to sell.
Even now, the contract to make the boots for our military has gone to
a company that will manufacture them in China.  U.S. News and World
Report had an article just after Desert Storm that stated 11 out of the
15 main American weapon systems in Desert Storm required the use of
foreign made parts.  The article went on to say that today in America it
is practically impossible to build even a jet engine without getting the
necessary ball bearings from Japan or Germany.
INCREDIBLE !!  The very ability to defend our country now depends on
the capricious nature of  foreign powers and former enemies for critical
components for our national defense.  These Democrats and Republicans who
have led this Nation have abrogated one of their prime responsibilities
charged to our Government leaders by the Constitution which is ". . . to
provide for the common defense".
Economically speaking, the Democrats and the Republicans are respon-
sible for implementing the policy of "Free Trade", which has greatly
diminished the nation's manufacturing base, transferred millions of high
paying jobs overseas, and has caused twenty-five (25) continuous years of
trade deficits totaling over two ( 2 ) trillion dollars!
The transfer of these two ( 2 ) trillion dollars overseas has
substantially contributed to the devaluing of the dollar by an average of
50% against other world currencies since 1985, and has thus adversely
affected every citizen of these United States.
Running trade deficits are not only costly, but are destructive to
the well being and security of our Republic and need to be shown as such
anytime someone states otherwise.  --Jim Welch
War With U.S. 'Inevitable', says Communist Chinese Defense Minister
Hong Kong's Cheng Ming newspaper quoted Chinese Defense Minister Chi
Haotian as saying war with the United States is inevitable. "We cannot
avoid it," he was quoted in the newspaper as saying.  "The issue is that
the Chinese armed forces must control the initiative in this war. . ."
Rand Report Warns of Conflict With China
By Charles R. Smith

According to a Rand Corp. report, China's military is narrowing its
technology gap with the U.S. armed forces, using U.S. commercial
technology to approach or equal the United States capabilities.
Chinese Military Buildup
According to Jack Spencer, a defense analyst and fellow at the
Heritage Foundation, the Chinese military is preparing itself for a
future war with America.  "The United States continues to rely largely on
1970's technology.  Even America's most modern fighter/bomber, the F-117,
was first deployed nearly 20 years ago.  What's more, the United States
relies solely on the aircraft carrier for power projection (unless you
count the 21 B-2's).  And is completely dependent on its unprotected
space-based assets and growing information networks.
"So if they can come up with a way to stop the carrier and/or blind
a satellite, they have effectively stopped the American military.
Below is an article by a senior news analyst at UPI that clearly points
out another reason why America should reexamine the entire policy of
"free trade" with China.

In essence, America is providing Red China with the money to build a
military machine that the Chinese are designing to turn upon this
country.  At the worst, Red China will militarily attack this country and
kill millions of us, or at the minimum they will use this new found
military power to thwart American interests around the globe with the
goal of stifling American economic well being.  And the really sad and
ironic part is that the American People are paying for their own demise
with each and every purchase of merchandise "Made in China." --Jim Welch
----------------------------------------------------
Why have the Chinese tolerated selfish, vicious rulers with no value
for human life during most of their thousands of years of recorded
history?  This is an enigma that most Westerners don't understand,
because Chinese culture is well-known for intelligent, honorable,
artistic, hardworking people who greatly respect their ancestors and love
their country.  Yet they seem to expect corrupt power to be the privilege
of anyone in authority.  They subsist with one suit of clothes and a
rice diet.  Only bureaucrats and tourists shop at their Wal-Mart's and
MacDonald's.

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
