Religious
Repression Widespread in China, 5 Other Countries (AP; Oct. 8, 2002) - "...engage
in widespread repression of religion, seeing religious worship as a threat to the dominant
ideology." --State Department
Introduction
March 22, 2000
The heavens surely weep at how the U.S. which is supposed to be the world's bastion of freedom
is turning a blind eye to the atrocities being committed by the Chinese and other tyrannical
governments -- all in the name of "engagement" so that through such
"friendships" those dictatorial leaders might change their ways -- when in reality the
only thing that is happening is the international merchants are becoming filthy rich and the cries
of the saints are being ignored. But God will not let such cries go forever unheard. If the salt
loses its savor, it is thenceforth good for nothing but to be trodden under feet. God will start
anew with another people -- the remnant who awake and put on strength to redeem Zion.

Persecution of Christians -- Report by by Perry L. Glanzer of James Dobson's Focus on
the Family (3/1/98)
Christians today are the most persecuted religious group in the world,
and persecution has intensified during the past few years. Torture, enslavement, rape,
imprisonment, killings ... even crucifixions are among the atrocities perpetrated upon
believers around the world, much of them stemming from two ideologies that prevail
internationally: communism and militant, politicized Islam.
