Sterling Allan Replies to Tilley's Recent Claim to a 200-mile Range Bike
by Sterling D. Allan The Tilley Foundation recently announced
Then, in a recent correspondence from Carl Tilley, published by Jerry Decker, Tilley states,
He is referring to the coverage I have done of his fraud. Actually, I would not say such a thing as he purports. Once something is on the market and able to be tested openly, any bogus claims will be obvious to all. That is not the time to hoodwink the public. My contention with Tilley has never been that he does not have any sort of advanced technology. My argument, rather, has consistently been two-fold: (1) Tilley is utilizing an advanced technology, but that his claims to being the originator of that technology are extraordinarily suspicious. All indications at my disposal are that he stole the technology and claimed it for his own. (2) Tilley exaggerates the capabilities of the technology in order to bilk investors and potential buyers for more money than what the technology is actually worth. Surrounding those two facets are a host of outright lies to create a masterful con operation. My other main contention against Tilley is a personal one, in which he has demonstrated a disregard for ecology for the sake of earning money. He is unabashedly proud of his greed. I have in my possession a video tape of his first Shareholder's meeting on May 4, 2002. I watched as he presented to them his fabrication that GE had offered to him to purchase the technology "sight unseen" for two billion dollars. I watched as he parlayed the various questions that arose with such a phenomenal claim. Toward the end of the meeting, he made this astonishing statement: "I guarantee you, if GE
gets it [buys the technology], you'll never see it on the market." I played the tape over and over, astonished that he could make such an unethical statement that
the shareholders would agree with. But each time I watched it, I could see once more that
indeed that what was happening. For anyone who truly cares about the outcome of our planet, and yet who has confidence in Tilley, I would invite you to get a copy of the tape I have and to watch it for yourself. I have posted a good number of excerpts, but to get the full effect, you need to watch the whole tape for yourself. Tilley is a piece of work. He can hardly keep his lies straight, yet somehow he manages to keep people enamored with him and the Tilley Foundation. I don't get it. That day when I saw those shareholders share in Tilley's greed, I lost my sympathy for them. They deserve to be taken for a ride. Meanwhile, back to the issue at hand. Will Tilley produce a bike that can go 200 miles or more on one charge? I would not be surprised. He might even do it on schedule. But what it will probably be is something along the lines of a set-up that normally would produce 70 - 100 miles, and the technology (that he stole) doubles or triples the output. Yes, that is an accomplishment, and Tilley will use that success to continue to bilk people for money I would also not be surprised in the least if some other "technical difficulty" arises, causing the schedule to be delayed. This much I will say with confidence. Tilley is a pathological liar and a con. If success comes to the marketplace from his operation it will not be anything compared to the "endless charger" claim he originally posited, and which he still purports on his site. As of the most recent update on Dec. 28, 2003, the Tilley Foundation "vehicle" page states:
That is a lie. Tilley is not in possession of such technology. That is the con. The other success stories will be milked for all they are worth in order to get as much mileage out of the lie as Tilley can muster. Also, in the same opening statement that page, the following assertion is made:
Walter Webb, who was once a board of directors member and primary instrument in bringing investors aboard the Tilley Foundation, states that on numerous occasions he saw Tilley running an extension cord from his home to energy device in the shop in the morning prior to people showing up at the facility, to "top it off." That is the nature of the man we are dealing with here. There is no mention of that in the statement that appears on the Tilley website. He is a shyster. Of that I am prepared to testify in a court of law if it comes to that. Tilley's threats to bring legal action against me do not intimidate me. I am willing to take a stand against him. I didn't see Tilley running the extension cord, but I have seen the footage from his shareholder's meeting as well as from earlier meetings; and I have had personal interaction with the man and know him to be a liar based on things he told me on one hand, and then turned around a couple of days later and said publicly. The man must be stopped -- or at least exposed so that the honest of heart. He gives the field of free energy a bad name. I've archived the "vehicle" page as it appears today, with the time stamp of Dec. 28,
2003, and I would invite others to join me in signing the page as a factual copy of the page. Meanwhile, I suppose there will be those who Tilley will lure, who are of a similar ilk as himself. In watching the video tapes of him in action, I am convinced that Tilley generally attracts to himself those of similar ilk:
If he said that in my hearing, and I had been considering doing business with him, that would have been a major red flag. Why people continue to support him is a mystery to me, and a sad tale of the greed that yet pervades on this planet. See also
