ANATOMY OF A CON
Video Documentation of Carl Tilley Free Energy Scam
"Most people don't believe when I tell them this: 'I
want to help people out.'" -- Carl Tilley (view
clip)
"For our purposes, we want to sell it, get our big
bucks, go on" -- Carl Tilley (view clip)
Highlights
- Have an offer for 2
million
billion dollars from GE to buy technology 'sight-unseen' -- all of it;
everything.
[Contradiction: (1) GE says no such offer was ever
given. Their legal department is considering the appropriate response
to the bogus claim. (2) Would GE buy anything 'sight unseen'?]
- ran house for 2 years on it
[contradictions: (1) electric bill for his house
documented at average of $130.00/month; (2) said in phone interview
with SDA in August that he has
not been running his house, only his shop; said that state won't let him run
his house with it]
- Only need silver box to run
the car
- What's in the silver
box -- Tilley Logo shows you. Device captures static electricity.
[Contradiction: When Walter Webb [report]
finally saw inside the silver box, what he saw was nothing like what Tilley
had been saying. It was basically a converted wind turbine -- Kibbey's
technology.]
14,23 24
karat gold wires inside "special configuration"
[Contradiction: When Walter Webb saw inside the
silver box, he didn't see any gold wires; Tilley replied with an excuse.]
- I can even make it work
without batteries - "what we have is already obsolete; I can do it
now, but it shuts down when I put about 400 Watts on it."
- But, But . . . > Sottie
O. gets a word in edge wise - Sottie points out that he saw the meter go
down to 10 V, instead of maintaining 12.7 Volts as claimed. Points out
that Tilley did not draw attention to this. Tilley puzzling how to respond.
[contradicting "endless" recharge claim]
Chronological Sequence

- 10 dollar electric bill
(can hear it running in the background)
- Q. how long has it run?
A. one I had similar to this ran for two years.
- Q. Why wouldn't you have all of your electrical hooked up to it right
now?
[question of home use catches him off guard; comes up
with a quickie.]
A. Can't answer that. I'll tell you this much, my bill last month
was $10.00
[compare to statement in Jan. 2002 when he says I
run everything]
- it just keeps going

Note: GE states that they have never heard of Carl
Tilley until now (Jan. 2003), and that they never made such an offer to
him. Their legal department is looking into this to determine an
appropriate response to the fraudulent claim.
Epilogue
Video Documentation links were posted Jan. 30, 2:00 am MST, but because WSMV
was planning a special on this situation, they requested that the video
footage be removed to not preempt their exclusive premier. The links
were restored on Feb. 20 6:30 pm MST after the first of the two Channel 4
stories aired.
- James Woods the Ideal
Actor to Play Carl Tilley - persona and appearance of James
Wood cast as Byron De La Beckwith the man who got away with murder for
30 years, bears haunting resemblance to Tilley, who is still running a
sophisticated free energy con operation. (Aug. 6, 2004)
