You would not ask the prophet to sign a bishop's food order, would you? It is the Elders of Zion not the church that is to do what you are talking about. “The Prophet Joseph Smith declared it will be the elders of Israel who will step forward to help save the Constitution, not the Church." E. Z. Benson.(Not Commanded in All Things; and in GFC) The kind of criticism you are leveling at the Church and its leaders is the kind of thing that will get a person excommunicated. But then you already knew that didn't you. Christopher

I do hope you stop these attacks and realize that it is our responsibility. You are doing a good job of your Constitutional obligations but it is your duty and NOT THE CHURCHES nor it LEADERS. I do wish you well and hope you see this truth and come back. Christopher

Give me a break! You know full well that the scriptures are full
of prophets warning the people of their political demise and of the consequences that would
follow.
e.g. Helaman 7,8
The fact that modern "prophets" don't prophesy is not a
pattern suitable for our day, it is a cop out.
In Isaiah's language, they are watch dogs that will not bark. (Isa.
56:10)

You also forget history where Mormon and many other prophets were NOT ALLOWED to tell things to the people because they were too wicked. What have we not been told to do by Benson or Grant or McKay or Smith or Young or Taylor? How many times do we have to be told? The Church is international Now. IT IS OUR JOB. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT. We have been given all we need. Christ will then test His people. You want to tell the prophets what to do when they have already told you it is not their job. Would you have told Nephi to tell the Jews they were leaving? Would you have told Alma to tell the world about the coming destruction of the Nephites? Would you have told Mormon to preach the gospel when he was command by God to shut up? Would you have told Christ to stop preaching the gospel of Love and throw of the Roman Yoke of bondage is HE REALLY WAS THE KING OF THE JEWS? You ARE NOT THE PROPHET of the Church of Christ. YOU DO NOT HOLD THOSE KEYS. David 0. McKay said: “Governments are the SERVANTS, not the MASTERS of the people. All who love the Constitution of the United States can vow with Thomas Jefferson, who, when president, said, ‘I have sworn upon the alter of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.’ “If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy. The same prudence which in private life would forbid our paying our money for unexplained projects, forbids it in the disposition of public money. We are endeavoring to reduce the government to the practice of rigid economy to avoid burdening the people and arming the magistrate with a patronage of money which might be used to corrupt the principles of our government....” Quoting again from McKay: “In conclusion, I repeat that no greater immediate responsibility rests upon members of the Church, upon all citizens of the Republic and of neighboring Republics than to protect the freedom vouchsafed by the Constitution of the United States. ‘Let us, by exercising our privileges under the Constitution: (1) Preserve our right to worship God according to the dictates of our conscience, (2) Preserve the right to work when and where we choose.... (3) Feel free to plan and to reap without the handicap of bureaucratic interference. (4) Devote our time, means, and life if necessary, to hold inviolate those laws which will secure to each individual the free exercise of conscience, the right and control of property, and the protection of life.” (“Free Agency.. .A Divine Gift” 367, 378) Are you one of the few Latter-day Saints that live up to this calling? Heber J. Grant said; “Let it [the Constitution] be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges. Let it be written in primers, in spelling books, and almanacs. Let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls, and enforced in courts of justice. In short, let it become the political religion of the nation.” Apostle Wirthlin just recently, 1995, repeated this admonition. Harold B. Lee said; “So today is no time for youth to whimper the refrain of the defeated and retire to the fancied security of the regimented state. Today is the day for youth to gird themselves with the armor of peace, having as their weapons “the shield of faith... and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Spencer W. Kimbal said: “The only way we can keep our freedom is to work at it. Not some of us. All of us. Not some of the time, but all of the time.” Ezra Taft Benson said; “The War that began in heaven is not yet over. The conflict continues on the battlefield of morality. And one of Lucifer’s primary strategies has been to restrict our agency through the power of earthly governments.” Brigham Young said: “I love the government and the Constitution of the United States, but I do not love the damned rascals who administer the government.’ Also, Joseph Smith, the founder of the LDS church stated: “The different states, and even Congress itself, have passed many laws diametrically contrary to the Constitution of the United States. ‘...Shall we be such fools as to be governed by its laws, which are unconstitutional? No!” Take a good look at what President Heber J. Grant had to say concerning Roosevelt’s Social Security plan. When ever you think of giving up or becoming a part of the Social Security or Federal Income tax lie read this again. He says that such plans are in violation of the revelations of Jesus Christ. Choose you this day who you will serve! “We have on, at the present time, a great political campaign (1936), and I want to say to the Saints that I hope they will not allow their political affiliations, their regard for political affairs, to cause feelings of ill-will towards one another. I have had some of the most insulting letters that ever came to me, condemning me for not being in favor of the Townsend Plan, and that I must be ignorant of the plan. I am not ignorant of the plan. I have not read every word of it, but I have asked one of my secretaries to read every word of the plan and to give me the important points, and to my mind it is in direct opposition to everything I have quoted from Brigham Young and from the revelations of the Lord. The idea of allowing every man and woman who has reached the age of sixty years and wishes to retire from working to get two hundred dollars a month from the government! There is nothing truer than Brigham Young's statement, that we should give nothing to people, unless they are not able to work, without requiring them to do something for it…. “Let every Latter-day Saint who has a farm, farm it, and not try to borrow money to be paid back by the government. Let every man feel that he is the architect and builder of his own life, and that he proposes to make a success of it by working. "Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work," and rest on the seventh. Do not be willing to labor four or five days and then only half labor. Let every Latter-day Saint give value received for everything he gets, whether it be in work, or whatever he does.”CR, October, 1936: 13. President Heber J. Grant To become a beneficiary of the Social Security System is A VIOLATION OF Christ’s law and if you do it you embrace the plans of Gadianton just as the “more part of the righteous” had done in Hel. 6:38 38 And it came to pass on the other hand, that the Nephites did build them up and support them, beginning at the more wicked part of them, until they had overspread all the land of the Nephites, and had seduced the more part of the righteous until they had come down to believe in their works and partake of their spoils, and to join with them in their secret murders and combinations. I believe that the former Secretary of Agriculture in the Eisenhower Administration and President of The Church if Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave a good description of why Christians of any sect or denomination do not get involved in the battle for liberty. Satan does not want them to because if Christians would put in the effort our Constitution could be saved. Ezra T. Benson said: “The devil knows that if the elders of Israel should ever wake up, they could step forth and help preserve freedom and extend the gospel. Therefore the devil has concentrated, and to a large extent successfully, in neutralizing much of the priesthood. He has reduced them to sleeping giants. His arguments are clever. “Here are a few samples: “First: “We really haven’t received much instruction about freedom,” the devil says.... “Second: “You’re too involved in other church work,” says the devil. “Third: “You want to be loved by everyone,” says the devil, “and this freedom battle is so controversial you might be accused of engaging in politics.”... “Fourth: “Wait until it becomes popular to do,” says the devil, “or, at least until everybody in the Church agrees on what should be done.”... “Fifth: “It might hurt your business or your family,” says the devil, “and besides why not let the gentiles save the country? They aren’t as busy as you are.”... “Sixth: “Don’t worry,” says the devil, “the Lord will protect you, and besides the world is so corrupt and heading toward destruction at such a pace that you can’t stop it., so why try.”... “And now as to the last neutralizer that the devil uses most effectively it is simply this: “Don’t do anything in the fight for freedom until the Church sets up its own specific program to save the Constitution.” This brings us right back to the scripture I opened with today to those slothful servants who will not do anything until they are “compelled in all things” [D&C 58:26]. Maybe the Lord will never set up a specific church program for the purpose of saving the Constitution. Perhaps if he set one up at this time it might split the Church asunder, and perhaps he does not want that to happen yet for not all the wheat and tares are fully ripe. “The Prophet Joseph Smith declared it will be the elders of Israel who will step forward to help save the Constitution, not the Church. And have we elders been warned? Yes, we have. And have we elders been given the guidelines? Yes indeed, we have. And besides, if the Church should ever inaugurate a program, who do you think would be in the forefront to get it moving? It would not be those who were sitting on the sidelines prior to that time or those who were appeasing the enemy. It would be those choice spirits who, not waiting to be “commanded in all things” [D&C 58:26], used their own free will, the counsel of the prophets, and the Spirit of the Lord as guidelines and who entered the battle “in a good cause.” [D&C 58:27] and brought to pass much righteousness in freedom’s cause.... “Brethren, if we had done our homework and were faithful, we could step forward at this time and help save this country. The fact that most of us are unprepared to do it is an indictment we will have to bear. The longer we wait, the heavier the chains, the deeper the blood, the more the persecution, and the less we can carry out our God-given mandate and worldwide mission. The war in heaven is raging on the earth today. Are you being neutralized in the battle?” Ezra Taft Benson from (Not Commanded in All Things; and in GFC) Prophets have prophesied of it, Christ has commanded it. Let us all press on in the work of the Lord. Christopher Holloman Hansen, Presiding Sovereign for The First Christian Fellowship of Eternal Sovereignty

Chris,
I am aware of the statements you cite; and I am grateful for
them. Indeed, it was in large part because of statements like these that I gained an
understanding of the gravity of the importance of this cause of freedom as an eternal struggle in
which we must be engaged valiantly if we wish to hold faithful as God's stewards.
I do not, for an instant, buy your argument that "they already
warned us; they don't need to warn us anymore." First of all, why doesn't their
argument about the gospel hold true in this case -- that it is so important they need to repeat
the fundamentals of it over and over and over.
Furthermore, the fact is that the message they as a body are sending
indirectly by their quiet acquiescence and kissing up to the New World Order lackeys is that the
socialist New World Order is okay by them. If it were not, they would, all of them, shun the
New World Order at every turn. They do not. Even slightly, they do not. Their
direction is in favor of the socialist New World Order. Don't try to tell me otherwise, for
you know that what I say is true.
Who is one of Gordon B. Hinckley's favorite men of the
world? Larry King. Who is Larry King? A bastion of conservative thought?
Hardly. We could go through quite a list like this, and rarely would a living recipient of
his public lavishments be anything close to what you or I might consider a "patriot" to
the cause of freedom.
You know full well that Ezra Taft Benson was essentially that last
patriot among the brethren who dared speak out against the New World Order, and that even he had
to cloak his passion -- not for fear of the New World Order, but because his associates among the
brethren (and membership) already had so nearly completely marginalized his political teachings as
to make him the laughing stock of any "sensible" person.
I got in trouble from my Stake President (Aagard in Moroni, UT) for
quoting to him from Ezra Taft Benson in my personal interviews with him. I know a bishop in
Layton, UT who was released from his calling and nearly excommunicated because of activities
such as compiling a document listing some of Ezra Taft Benson's political statements.
No, the brethren are not being silent to protect us. Not hardly
a one of them believes there is any sort of conspiracy to overthrow the freedom of all lands,
nations, and countries. Ask them in private. I have spoken with several, and they
speak on behalf of their associates saying they do not believe this (e.g. Janette Hales Beckham,
former General Young Women's President, and my dad's cousin). Hardly any of them are against
socialism as currently being implemented in the United States by both the Democrat and Republican
parties.
But if any member begins trying to awaken his fellow saints to these
dangers, they end up being marginalized by their fellow members and church leaders.
Wake up, my friend, and stop making excuses for the sleeping shepherds
who do not protect their flock.

The church is preparing to divide. That is prophesy. More than half will completely fall away and become Gadianton Robbers. Even the very elect shall be deceived. JS-M 1: 22 For in those days there shall also arise false aChrists, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch, that, if possible, they shall deceive the very elect, who are the elect according to the covenant. Benson said to read the Book of Mormon to understand today. In Helaman we read that the majority of the church members became led away by the plans of Gadianton. For you to attack the church leaders when you do not understand what God is doing is just plan wrong!! They have the Keys. You do not. Your pride is in the way of your faith which is what destroyed the Nephites at every turn. Christ called Judas as an apostle because Judas had something Christ needed him to do. Christopher

Chris,
It seems ironic to me that you can fathom that "half of the members will become Gadianton Robbers," but you cannot even begin to countenance the thought that this would also penetrate to the highest quorums of the church. Remember, the point of my message was that it is problematic to "just follow the brethren" because they are prone to err; but the Lord is not. That is where we should place our trust. What's wrong with that message? Sterling

Sterling,
Wow, you guys are
having quite an argument! Who is this Chris Hansen guy, anyway?
Among Christians and
in Christian churches, there are a few that do preach about the NWO, etc. Some of them make
quite a big deal about it, such as Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. Most typically though,
not much is said about it, though I think that most Christians have some sense that the NWO
is a bad thing. Unfortunately (and I don't really know where you or other Mormons stand on
this), much of what might be said to or by most Christians is obscured by their thinking about the
Rapture. They believe that they're going to be taken away from here before any of this gets
really bad anyway, so to a great extent, they don't really even care about the NWO.
