Jesus Christ: Person of the Century

Greater Things Newsletter #15
3/19/99

Time Magazine is allowing the public to vote for Time Magazine's Person of the Century, which will be on their December 1999 issue. How about we vote for Jesus Christ!

"TIME's Person of the Century is that person who, for better or worse, most influenced the course of history over the past 100 years."

Each of us knows at least 1 person with e-mail. CONTACT THEM. Pass this on. Let's perpetuate a wave of votes for Jesus Christ - Person of the Century!

Apparently, the poll is case sensitive and writing it any other way does not allow your vote to be counted as Jesus Christ. When you get to the site, you must write Jesus Christ in exactly this way:  Upper case J, Upper case C and all the rest lower case. (Jesus Christ)

To vote go to the Person of the Century Poll:
http://cgi.pathfinder.com/time/time100/poc/century.html

When I voted, Jesus Christ had received 888012 votes for 41.87% of the vote so far -- way ahead of any of the other tallies.  I couldn't help but be amused that the number of votes for Jesus Christ so far begins with the digits 888.  888 is the numeric sum of the letters that spell Jesus in Greek (each letter has a numeric value).

Time Top 100:  Jesus 888012

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
