Randall,
When people make requests like this of me, my response is to encourage them
to find the stuff for themselves, for it is much better to teach how to fish
that to just give a fish. But when I know someone as well as I do you, I am
more inclined to spend a bit of time poking around myself -- which
discoveries I am more than glad to share.
The tools are describe at
www.greaterthings.com/Intro/alphabetics_tools.htm
I usually like to start with the most specific number. In this case, 1018.
Word 1018 in the Hebrew Old Testament lexicon means "house of firm root,
i.e. of fixed seat"
That's pretty cool. I think of the rock of Jesus Christ, the sure
foundation.
Word 1018 in the Greek NT lexicon means "To rule, govern, and
metaphorically
to prevail, abound."
Also fitting (and flattering). When we build our foundation on the rock of
Christ, Satan cannot prevail against us.
The etymology for word 1018 in Hebrew is "house of" and "firm
root." The
latter word, EZEL, has the following sister meanings, spelled
"aleph"
"tsadeh" "lamed." (The "heh" before it is
equivalent to the English "the.")
"Ezel" means "to join, connect together; noble, joining
together."
Combined, I think of "the house of gathering, of drawing near [to God],
the
noble deed"
As for 798, that is very close to the 800, 801 set. 800 stands for Christ,
"toll free" as in "come, all ye that hunger, come buy and eat,
without money
and without price." The opposite comes just after it. 801 is the area
code
for mainstream Utah, the wayward bride. The words around Utah in English
include "usury, usurp."
So your number being so close to these two is very significant.
Word 798 is essentially the same as word 6449 (Gesenius doesn't even give a
separate definition but refers to 6449). That word means, "a part,"
"a
fragment," which makes me think of the REMNANT. The words before and
after
have to do with "hand" and "corn." Corn is code for
Messiah and his work.
Hand links to the idea of "without hands," meaning the work is
directed of
heaven not of the arm of flesh.
So the distilled meaning I see is the idea of the Messianic calling of
gathering the remnant who are separated from the mainstream body that has
grown corrupt.
Word 798 in Greek is "astron" meaning "a constellation
consisting of several
stars but also used for a single star." It is where the English
"astronomy"
comes from.
The word before it is "to lighten, flash or shine as lightning."
I personally can relate to these meanings in close proximity to 800/801
because "star" is the etymological root of "Starling" for
the star that was
imprinted on silver coins. My Native American name given me is "Silver
Thunder." So in word 797 and 798 are two words I consider metaphors
linking
myself to this work of which you are also a part.
716 is a number I can relate to as well, as it was my address in a Provo
apartment for three or so months, just down the street from 814 N, which is
the home I bought upon returning from my mission in '84. The street is 440
West. Word 440 in Hebrew is pronounced "Alon" which is the closest
thing to
"Allan" there is in the Bible.
Word 716 in Greek, "harma" means "a chariot or vehicle"
("harma" with the
German H is close to the English "car"). The word before is "a
bear," and
the word after it, "Armageddon."
I see imagery of the Soviet attack -- the bear's vehicles, at a time of
chariots being cut off, which bring Armageddon. I'm guessing that you
believe that such a thing is likely, as do I, and it has been our saying so
that has been part of getting us in trouble with the sleepy heads of
Mormondom.
Word 716 in Hebrew derives from word 714, which means "to wander,
fugitive."
I had to chuckle out loud when I saw that, because when I lived in that
apartment I was running from the Lord and the discoveries I was making in
Alphabetics. It was getting a bit strange for me and those around me. I
felt like Jonah.
There is a lot more you can do with these numbers. You can also look up
your name in a large variety of ways. This is the tip of the iceberg as to
what you can find by using these methods.
Maybe it's not for you. But I find it fascinating, fun, enlightening, and
motivating.

Sterling. I am curious about what my phone number says about me (or
Shortridge family?)... flattering or not. Truth always welcome here.

How does one analyze this anyway? Guess I haven't spent enough time on
your site to figure out how to do it by myself.
