SUBJECT: The Immortal -- book recommendation Re: John the Revelator

I finished reading Book I of "The Immortal," by J J Dewey yesterday. I
haven't been so thrilled about a book since I read Rick Joyner's "The Final
Quest" two or so years ago. I'm surprised I've not heard of Dewey's book
before. It was published in '98 and is extremely well-written, presented as
a "fiction" for the purpose of casting the dialogue in an appealing way.

The book cover states: "Legend has it that John, the author of the
Apocalypse, never died and still walks the earth after 2000 years. These
pages have the fascinating story of one man's encounter with a virtual
immortal."

This book is a most remarkable synergizing of the Western religious
teachings as epitomized in Christianity's Bible and the Eastern mystical New
Age teachings, taking the best from both while gently exposing the fallacies
of the extremes found in both.

So far, I find no reason not to believe that Joseph John Dewey has in
actuality been commissioned personally by John the Revelator to stand as a
spokesman for him in conveying greater light and knowledge to a planet so
much in need of healing. His teachings about the nature of God and of man
and how we can stop giving power to the brothers of darkness ring true to me
and are in complete harmony with what I have learned through my own studies
and experience. It not only validates my own highest beliefs, but expands
them and clarified them.

As one coming from a Christian/Mormon background, I resonated with the
teachings of this book, while so many of the New Age writings usually turn
me off. Likewise, people coming from a New Age bend also resonate with the
teachings of this book, while customarily they are turned off by things
Christian. The teachings of John appeal to both camps.

This work of J J Dewey may well be the primary catalyst for bringing harmony
between the left and right-brain schisms of Christianity and New Age
philosophy. New Age in its extreme is wrought with dangerous detours, but
so is Christianity in its extremes of orthodoxy. We need both the
left-brain analytical and the right brain intuitive religious understandings
to obtain wholeness.

I hope you all will take the opportunity to read this amazing book.

You may download Book I for free at http://www.freeread.com . You may also
obtain Book I and II through that web site ($19.95). I've also featured it
on my web site with a link to Amazon.com where you may purchase it as well.

ALPHABETICS COMMENTARY:

Out of curiosity, I just looked up the address listed for the publisher of
this book, Great AD-ventures, 3701 Overland, Suite B, Boise, ID 83705.

Word 3701 in the NT lexicon means, "A sight, appearance, especially a vision
or apparition." Word 3705 (last four digits of the zip code) similarly
means, "A sight, spectacle, that which is seen. Used of a supernatural
appearance, a vision."

Word 3701 in the OT lexicon seems to have a strong opposite meaning. Its
definition is "(1) silver, (2) money; used of that which is acquired by
money." The name of the website for the book "The Immortal" is
www.freeread.com Word 3705 means, "now, already," and cites Dan. 2:23,
which I have noted in my margin is the "story of Daniel interpreting the
dream."

I don't present this as a sign requisite for belief, but rather as a sign
that follows belief.
