Mailing List Guidelines
- Don't post HTML to the list (some mail-agents can post HTML & Text, turn off that
option).
- If you have just joined a list, read the archive first to get a glimpse of the
atmosphere. A short introduction of yourself helps further to know each other better.
- Don't post 2-3 lines mails saying "I agree" to a previous article, or better
reply to the sender of the submission direct.
- If you quote an post in your reply, please remove any redundance such as personal
signatures/footers etc. Let's keep every post as informative as possible.
- Avoid postings of pages which could be read on WWW as well, just post the URL which
might be of interest or
- If posting a longer article, then only in the meaning of discussing the article with all
members of the list.
- Don't post personal emails to the list without prior permission from the original
author.
- Don't post pictures to the list, as many people have difficulty to handle long emails
(100KB is the maximum length of a post allowed).
- Avoid "blunt" advertising of services or products.
- No chain-letters of any kind or announcements of computer viruses.
