Nephi 26:9-11 Chiasm:"Greater Things" Quoting:
Context scripture: "And now there cannot be written in this book even a hundredth part of the things which Jesus did truly teach unto the people; but behold the plates of Nephi do contain the more part of the things which he taught the people. And these things have I written, which are a lesser part of the things which he taught the people; and I have written them to the intent that they may be brought again unto this people, from the Gentiles, according to the words which Jesus hath spoken." "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. " (John 21:25.)
by Sterling D. Allan; Provo, Utah; April 21, 1992 Comment: This is a glorious promise and burden -- that Lord will manifest greater things to those who receive that which they have been given, but withhold them from those who say "we have enough" (compare 2 Ne. 28). The fact that this very statement itself would be arranged in one of the most beautiful chiasms, with internal parallel matches, is compelling evidence that chiasmus and parallelism itself is a tool by which greater things will be manifest to those who have eyes to see.
