1 And now I speak unto you,

my last-born.

is born,

Thou

unto us a son

wast born

is given;

in the wilderness of mine afflictions;

and the government [manchild]

yea, in the days of my greatest sorrow did thy mother bear thee.

shall be upon his shoulder;

2 And may the Lord

and his name

consecrate also unto thee

shall be called,

[kingdom of God on earth; the New Jersusalem]

The Everlasting

Father,

for thy security

The Prince of Peace.

of the Holy One of Israel.

upon the throne of David,

3 And now,

and

Joseph,

upon his kingdom

my last-born,

to order it,

whom I have brought out

and to establish it

of the wilderness

with judgment

of mine afflictions,

and with justice

may the Lord bless thee forever,

from henceforth, even forever.

for thy seed shall not utterly be destroyed.

The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.

4 For behold, thou

11 Therefore

And he obtained a promise of the Lord,

that out of the fruit of his loins the Lord God would raise up

shall set up

a righteous branch

the adversaries of Rezin against him, unto the house of Israel;

and join his enemies together;

nevertheless,

For all this

a is not turned away,

that the Messiah

should be made manifest unto them

is stretched out

in the spirit of power,

unto the bringing of them out of darkness

13 For the people turneth not

[those whom I love, I chasten]

yea, out of hidden

neither do they seek [and ye shall find]

darkness

the Lord of Hosts. [light]

and out of captivity unto freedom.

14 Therefore will the Lord cut off

shall the Lord my God raise up,

who shall be a choice seer

15 The ancient, [of days]

unto the fruit of my loins.

16 For the leaders [slothful shepherds]

will I raise up out of

the fruit of thy loins;

And unto him will I give commandment

and they that are led [arm of flesh]

shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, [to build and to plant (Jer 18:9)]

which shall be of great worth

17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy

unto them,

in their young men,

to the bringing of them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made

shall have mercy

with thy fathers.

8 And I will give

and widows;

unto him

for every one of them

a commandment

is a hypocrite

that he shall do none other work,
save the work which I shall command him.

and an evildoer,

for he shall do my work. [mediation]

For all this his anger

9 And he shall be great

is not turned away, [they having sinned against such great light and knowledge]

like unto Moses, [deliverance]

but his hand is stretched out [destruction]whom I have said [as in days of old]

still. [except humble themselves insackcloth and ashes and cry mightily to the Lord their God, he will not hear their cries (Mosiah 11).]

a burneth as the fire;

a shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.

10 And Moses [deliverance]

19 Through the wrath [destruction]

will I

will I give power

shall snatch [feeble]

1 Wo unto them that decree unrighteous decrees,

17 And the light B of Israel
shall be for a fire,
and his Holy One
for a flame,

and the weakness of their words

and shall burn and shall devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

will I make strong

18 And shall consume

in their faith,

unto the remembering of my covenant which I made unto thy fathers.

22 And now, behold, my son Joseph, after this manner did my father of old prophesy.

and they shall be as when [parables]

23 Wherefore, because of this covenant

a standard-bearer

thou art blessed;

fainteth.

for thy seed

19 And the rest of the trees of his forest

shall not be destroyed,

shall be few,

for they shall hearken unto the words of the book. [covenant blessing]

24 And there shall rise up

20 And it shall come to pass in that day,

one mighty among them,

that the remnant of Israel,

who shall do much good,

and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob,

shall no more again stay upon him that smote them,

the Holy One of Israel, and do that thing which is great in the sight of God,

in truth.

unto the bringing to pass much restoration

21 The remnant shall return,

25 And now, blessed art thou, Joseph.

22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea,

Behold, thou art little;

yet a remnant of them shall return;

and it shall be done

shall overflow

unto thee

with righteousness.

Remember the words of thy dying father. Amen.

33 Behold, the Lord, the Lord of Hosts shall lop the bough with terror;
and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down;
and the haughty shall be humbled.
34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forests with iron,
and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
