But them also will the devil pacify, that they err, and lull them away through wine into carnal security, that through strong drink they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well; but they are out of the way.

And behold, the priest and the prophet have erred, being flattered away through strong drink; for the devil saith unto them, whispering in their ears: there is no hell, and I am no devil, for there is none.

And death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith, must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment; for they stumble when they must stand before the throne of God to be judged according to their works.
