JST Thessalonians 2:1-14 Chiasm in Script

And now, my brethren we beseech you, that He hath called you . . . by our gospel, that ye might obtain of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.  And by our gathering together unto him, we are bound to give thanks always to God for you brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: And it is for this cause, that ye be not soon shaken in mind or troubled by letter, spirit, or word (except ye receive it from us) . . . for God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: that all of them might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The day of Christ’s coming is at hand, but not until after there be a falling away first. Be not deceived by the unrighteousness that is in them, for they possess all of the power, signs, and lying wonders of Satan, and perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Now first, that man of sin (that wicked one) shall be revealed, the son of perdition, for it is he that opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; and it is he whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth . . . and he (as God) who sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God shall be destroyed at the brightness of God's coming!

And now ye know that this hath been withheld from you until the time that he be revealed and taken out of the way: for Christ suffereth the mystery of iniquity that worketh in him already.

Isaiah 66 & JST II Thes. 2 Parallel  in Script

Now hear the word of the Lord, all ye that tremble at his word. Your brethren have hated you, because God hath chosen you unto salvation from the beginning. They have cast you out for my name’s sake that you might be sanctified of the spirit and gain a belief in the truth so that I the Lord may be glorified and appear unto you in your joy.

And the time cometh that they shall be ashamed, and there will be a noise from the city when that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition . . . the voice from the temple, of one who opposeth and exalteth himsef above all that is called God, or that is worshipped. And when that wicked one shall be revealed he shall hear the voice of the Lord, then shall he be consumed by the spirit of his mouth to give destruction unto his enemies, for recompense, by the brightness of the Lord's coming.

And now ye know what hath been withheld: even before she (Zion) travailed, and before her pain came, she brought forth and delivered a man child. Shall the earth, or a nation be born or made to bring forth in one day? Shall I bring to birth or cause to bring forth and then shut the womb or cause not to bring forth? As soon as Zion travailed, and in his time, she brought forth her children that he might be revealed, saith the Lord.

Therfore, stand fast, and hold to the traditions which ye have been taught. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem and the Lord Jesus Christ. Be glad and have joy with her all ye that love and mourn for her, for he hath made it so that ye may suck of the milk to be satisfied and be delighted with the breasts of her everlasting consolation, in the abundance of her glory. I will extend peace and good hope unto you through grace, like a river; and the glory of the Gentiles shall be unto you like a flowing stream. Then shall ye suck, to be borne upon her sides, and dandled upon her knees. And as one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort your hearts in Jerusalem. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb. And with every good word: the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants -- but his indignation toward his enemies.

For it is the mystery of iniquity that Christ suffereth to work in him already. Behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire when the time is fulfilled that he shall be taken out of the way.

JST Mark 9:40-48  Parallel  in Script

Therefore, if thy hand . . . which is thy brother, offend thee by confessing or forsaking not, he shall be cut off. And again, if thy foot, he that is thy standard by whom thou walkest, offend thee by becoming a transgressor, he also shall be cut off. And then if thine eye which seeth for thee, him that is appointed to watch over thee and show thee light, offend thee with his transgressions; pluck him out, for all this would be well for you.

Therefore, let every man stand or fall, by himself, and not for another; or not trusting another.  Seek unto my Father, and it shall be done in that very moment what ye shall ask, if ye ask in faith, believing that ye shall receive.

It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, and without thy brother than to have two hands, or two feet, that both thee and thy brother be cast into hell. It is better for thee to be saved, and enter into the kingdom of God by thyself, or with one eye, than to have the both of you cast into hell fire, the fire that is not quenched where the worm dieth not.

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
