A Word from the author:
When I discovered this marvelous restoration gospel fifteen years ago,
there were very little, if any, books or pamphlets written to
non-restoration believers. The pickings are still slim. I decided that I would
spend my time writing about the restoration to non-restoration believers.
As a Southern Baptist minister, I know first hand from experience--that
much of what we know as Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Catholics and
Pentecostals about Joseph Smith is stereotypical, biased, slanted, and down
right false. Most of my information about "those Mormons" was
second-handed. For instance, I was against the Book of Mormon yet had never
read it! My pastor told me to stay away from it.
I have written seven essays that I believe touch upon, if not cover in
detail, some of the most common misconceptions regarding Joseph Smith and the
Book of Mormon. It is my prayerthe Spirit of God will bear witness to your
spirit as you read them.
