"cast out"
Introduction
This study came the evening after I completed the Isaiah 66 = II Thes. 2 Parallel, which
came just a few days after discovering the II
Thes. 2 Chiasm. Also recently I had uncovered the Alma 26 Chiastic structures. It was
based on that scripture that I then asked who the "Lamanites" in Alma 26
represented for myself as I applied this scripture metaphorically. Who were the
Lamanites to whom I would go and preach with unwearingness? It was with that
question that the word "the 'APOSTATES'" popped into my head, meaning those who
were cast out by the mainstreamers who were headed for the falls of destruction.
With that in mind, I then went to my computer and typed in "cast" and
"out." This page is the result.
Observations
 | The majority of the 268 verses that have the words "cast" and "out"
deal with the wicked being cast out of the presence of the Lord, or
devils being cast out, etc....
|
 | However, 62 of those 268 verses deal with the righteous, or the prophets,
or even Christ being "cast out."
|
 | Of those 62, only two come from the old testament.
 | Gen. 37:22, in which the words "cast" and "out" are
not grammatically linked to one another, yet convey the same meaning.
|
 | Isa. 66:5
|
|
 | The same day that this was discovered (Isa. 66:5 being the only true
"cast...out" find) is the same day that the Isa. 66 and 2nd Thes. 2
Parallel was completed. |
 | Twenty-five [significant number] of those 62 use the string "cast out." |
 | Of the other 37, three use the term twice within one verse, bringing the total remainder
occurrences to forty [also a significant number]. |
 | Only four verses in the Doctrine and Covenants contain these two words, all of them from
DC 46:3-6, speaking of not casting one out from church meetings. |

the saints shall ascend up to God from the ground against them.
Jacob 7:26
26 And it came to pass that I, Jacob, began to be old; and the record of this people
being kept on the other plates of Nephi, wherefore, I conclude this record, declaring that
I have written according to the best of my knowledge, by saying that the time passed away
with us, and also our lives passed away like as it were unto us a dream, we being a
lonesome and a solemn people, wanderers, cast out from Jerusalem, born in
tribulation, in a wilderness, and hated of our brethren, which caused wars and
contentions; wherefore, we did mourn out our days.
Mosiah 15:5
5 And thus the flesh becoming subject to the Spirit, or the Son to the Father, being

except ye repent.

had been cast out and stoned, because they believed in the words of Alma.

their streets; yea, and we have taught them upon their hills; and we have also entered
into their temples and their synagogues and taught them; and we have been cast out,

that ye may be humble, and that ye may learn wisdom; for it is necessary that ye should

their laws, and their manner of government, for they were established according to the
minds of those who were their chiefs and their leaders. But they did establish very strict

had peace in the land; nevertheless, their hearts were turned from the Lord their God, and
they did stone the prophets and did cast them out from among them.

all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people,
for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who

prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.

things which should come upon the people.

will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will
begin to say within yourselves--It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the
word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my
understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.
