Paul admonished and Joseph Smith reemphasized to "believe all things." Natural man will immediately start qualifying that statement and categorizing it and excepting it all over the place. Anything but accept it. Anything but try and figure out what is meant by it. Anything but trying to be it. Poor little natural man does not understand that if we believe all things then we have no room for judgement. If we hold it all out as a possibility for someone somewhere sometime, even us, we tend to not give it a lot of energy but hold it as a neutral idea--a perhaps it's so--a possibility. I have come across some interesting ideas why this idea of holding "all things" rather neutrally in the belief department is important. First off I suggest that it may be important because what was true for me at 17 is not always true for me at 44. To have latched on to my 17 year old ideas and never let them go would not be healthy for me now.

Let's discuss science for a moment. Einstein tells us that a wave of light is also a particle of light. Newton said there were certain absolutes in the universe. Einstein said there were relativities in the universe. Newtonian physicists to this day can still prove that there are absolutes. Einstein had a gut feeling that DESPITE THE FACT THAT NEWTON'S LAW WAS TRUE, he could still see beyond it to a higher truth, if you will. Einstein's truth did not negate Newton's in the least--but it did. In the bigger world of objects (wagons, balls, etc) Newton's law holds up, but on the microscopic and atomic level it does not. So at one level Newton's law applies and at another level Einstein's Theory of Relativity does. They seem to be in contradiction, but they are not.

Spiritual laws are not so different. To a Newtonian physicist, the new Einstein craziness was absurd and they proved it, but in doing so they limited themselves. When we limit ourselves to different thoughts or ways of seeing things we may similarly limit ourselves to our narrow point of view because we can prove it! We, natural men that we are, are SURE we are right!! Whenever my mind starts to label something "bad, wrong, good, right" I am now saying, "that works for me, or that doesn't work for me right now or that used to work for me, or I will file that away maybe someday that will work for me." The more times I do that successfully the more that neutral muscle builds and the less judgement (narrowing) I have to contend with.

Another thought for your "maybe list" on the particle/wave theory. If our brains waves can be measured, then they are also particles at some point. When there are enough "thought waves" clustered together they reach a critical mass and form something tangible, either a circumstance or some THING. If we send a lot of energy/emotion to the idea of anything negative, we collectively, give it life because there is a mass of thoughts out there getting together and forming the very thing that we are so afraid of. If we give no energy to such dire prophecies and predictions we lessen the chances of that thought-form creating the very thing we don't want.

Talk about SELF FULFILLING PROPHECIES! We are all prophets, we are all co-creators. WE need to watch our words and our actions and our thoughts so they literally won't condemn us! (see Alma 12:13 and Mosiah 4:30) Do you see why it is said that Satan's greatest tools are fear and despair? We need to hope all things and endure all things so that we will not give a lot of energy to things we are tired of experiencing and go on to the other experiences we want to have.

My words and thoughts and hopes are today ones of peace and love and prosperity for ALL I pray for healings, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I pray for the earth herself to be healed. I see it. I feel it. I know it is. My thoughts are creating some mass. Add your loving thoughts to mine. We shall be glorious.
