Love of God is inclusive

He drew a circle that shut me out...
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But love and I had the will to win;
We drew a circle that took him in!

Love of god is inclusive. Fear of Satan is exclusive. What is it that Laura used to quote? Something about the circle being drawn to include him in? To start naming a movement and assigning it characteristics is an exclusionary practice. There is no definition that is "new age." It is far too broad to be explainable and neatly put in a box. I don't agree with the many attempts at a definition of a new ager. In attempting to label others as new age it makes it too easy to dismiss them and any truths they may have. Truth and beliefs are on a continuum with logic on one end and intuition on the other. Each individual is somewhere on there. Now if someone is to the left of me I say they are too liberal and if they are on the right of me they are too conservative. But that would be entirely false from someone else's perspective. Sterling is far too liberal for most Mormons but far too conservative for most kester. So who is correct? The folly of judgment comes into play here. I suggest that the more we can see we have in common with others the more harmony we will create. Even if there is only one truth we can build on, build on that. Division creates enemies and we have far too much of that in our world today. Satan would have us be divided. God would have us united. Only when I feel completely accepted and loved am I willing to look at myself with any honesty. I suggest we attempt that for each other and let God teach each one what is truth and we just concentrate on the loving part. Susan
