STORY OF DISCOVERY:

On April 6, 1990, I was with a BYU ward on an overnight camp-out. Prior to retiring to bed, I wanted to memorize a verse of scripture as is my practice. The problem was that I didn't have a flashlight, and most of the guys around me had fallen asleep.

The moon was fairly bright, so I thought I would try reading by the light of the moon.

I let the scriptures fall open, and then picked a short verse. I noticed that if I looked hard enough I could make out a word, though barely. So I began reading, picking out the words one at a time.

Here is what I read:

"In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night."

How ironically fitting for the circumstances! It was a nice little miracle for that April 6 night.

I imagine there is a lot that could be read into this considering the possible metaphorical symbols of the chapter context.
