435 -- the Remnant Outcasts
Telephone Area Code for Utah Outside the 801 Wasatch Front Central Corridor

bullet  Brief Overview

There's lot on 435.

Basically, it represents the "outcasts" -- the wheat that have been gathered out from the midst of the tares.

The number 435 itself has an interesting attribute inasmuch as it is the sum of the progressive addition of 1+ 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + . . . + 25 + 26 + 27 + 28 + 29 = 435.

There are currently 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives, which represent the individual districts in the States, in contrast to the Senate, which represents the state as a whole.  While Senators might tend to be bogged down with the central metropolis of the state, the House of Representatives can be more focused on the outlying areas -- the weak and simple who the Lord calls mighty and strong.

Word 435 in the Greek New Testament Lexicon is the cardinal word for "man/husband." Metaphorically, I see that as being like the bridegroom of the bride (801) that is currently playing the whore (Mary Magdalene metaphor) but which will be purified, brining reconciliation.

Page 435 in Zodhiates has a word that means "to fight together" (1264) as well as one that means "division" (1267).

Word 435 in Hebrew is the word ELUL, which is "the sixth Hebrew month, from the new moon of September."

September was when the 435 area code began, and when a year later it became mandatory.

The words around 435 in Hebrew have to do with God (as in they are words for God and his attributes of strength).

Page 435 of Gesenius is where the Hebrew name "Lehi" is found (who was separated from his brethren and brought to a new land). Also, another word for "strong, firm" is on the page as well (3888)

Page 435 of Thayer's is page 3 of 4.5 that define the Greek alphabet letter "omicron."  One of its usages is the meaning "the" or "one." In the context of an area code, I think of 1-435, the "1" being the "long distance" prefix.

There are 435 hits for the word "revelation" in the New Testament, including each verse of the book of Revelation.  Those of the outlying areas of Utah are far more prone to be interested in receiving personal revelation as well as studying the book of Revelation, than are those of the central 801 area, who say to "let the Brethren do all the revealing for us," which amounts to virtually nothing, for their primary revelation is to "leave the mysteries alone."  (3/9/00)

Page 435 in the LDS Topical Guide includes the topics "righteousness," and "rightly," both of which are strong Messianic metaphors, fitting of a remnant who seek to follow that pattern.

There are 437 pages in Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, just two beyond 435.  The last index listing on page 435 is "Women," symbolic of the bride of the Lamb.  (3/9/00)

An especially interesting word on page 435 of my Webster's '71 dictionary is the word "independent."

A word I find personally very relevant on that page is the word "Index" which means in part, "a table of the contents of a book in alphabetical order." I think of alphabetics, which is an important part of the great and marvelous work of gathering the remnant and awakening the sleeping saints.

There is a lot more that could be said about each of these occurrences of 435 in the various lexicons and dictionaries. But this gives you a glimpse.

The 435 chapter of the Bible is Esther 9, which is the story of the miraculous deliverance of the Jews.  The word 'Purim' is found five times in that chapter and in that chapter alone.

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
