Area Code 385 and Salt Lake City Winter
Olympics 2002
On pages 385 (pending Utah telephone area code) of Zodhiates' New
Testament lexicon and Webster's '71 English dictionary are the words 'gumnasio' and 'gumnasion'
(gymnasium).

On page 385 of Zodhiates' NT lexicon is
word 1128.
1128 gumnazo To train naked, as the Greek athletes. Generally to
exercise, train. Thus gumnasion, gymnasium, is a place of exercising.
While the idea of exercise and gymnasiums are applicable to most any area of the
country, and it could be said that the pending 385 area code areas are particularly keen on
exercise in general; what makes this correlations of particular relevance is that the Winter
Olympics are coming to Utah in 2002, and the 385 telephone code areas will be hosting several key
venues for the Olympics.
As a second witness or occurrence of this match, the following word definition is
found on page 385 of my Webster's '71 dictionary:
gymnasium (Gr. gymnasion, from gymnos, naked) A place
where athletic exercises are performed.

This study was originally done in May. With today's announcement that the
new area code will not go into effect until 2002, this connection is strengthened between the code
as shown above and the Olympics, which will be in SLC in 2002.
