A people hid by the Lord to do a great work, who
look forward to his coming, but who must first be purified.

Hi [name withheld],
Actually the process can be quite exacting. You have to be on your toes, in a
spirit of pondering, open to inspiration, thinking. Also, the number of ways
to look things up is nearly infinite, so one number could be studied for a
lifetime if one wanted to do that. Obviously we are not inclined to do that,
so we go for the best we can get in a reasonable time allotted us.
I have created a page at Greater Things that provides tips and tools to help people who
are interested to look things up on their own.
As for 816, what specific region of Missouri does that cover?
On page 816 of Zodhiates' New Testament lexicon are the definitions:
2572 "To envelop, warp around as bark, skin, shell or plaster, to
cover over; by implication to hide [e.g. to be veiled -- e.g. the arm of the
Lord, which will soon be revealed]
2573 Well, good in various senses; i.e. right, suitably, properly
2574 A camel
2575 A furnace for smelting metals, burning pottery, and so forth. The
furnace of fire is part of the natural imagery of the Parable of the Tares.
Word 816 in the NT lexicon is:
"To look fixedly, gaze intently"
Some of the synonyms Zodhiates' lists are interesting:
"to carefully observe; to look with wonder; to hope; to expect, look
for; to wait for; to look at, take heed."
Word 816 in the OT lexicon (Gesenius) means,
"(1) To fail in duty, to become guilty; to judge as guilty. The
primary idea is to be sought in that of negligence, especially in going, in
gait; whence a slow-paced camel ["camel" =
cross-reference witness with definition on page 816 Zod.], faltering and
weary. (2) to bear one's guilt, to suffer punishment due for it; (3) to be
destroyed, to be laid waste; [4] to be punished; hence to perish."
This brings to my mind some of the prophesies about the area being
"wiped clean," which can have temporal as well as spiritual
ramifications. It also calls to mind those who lingered rather than
coming West with the Saints.
Some of the words on page 816 of my Webster's '71 dictionary are
"stair" [Jacob's ladder?]; "stake" [center stake?};
"stale"; "stall"; "stalwart";
"stammer"
For someone to make meaning out of all this and provide helpful commentary,
they would need to be quite familiar with the people, history, destiny and
other phenomenon in the area code 816. I am not, so I will leave that to those
of you who are more familiar. I will say that there does seem to be a hit
with this number.
The double occurrence of the word "camel" is a likely witness that
there is an intended correlation to be made here for those who have eyes to
see.
If I were to capture the essence of what comes to me from what I know and
feel, and what I observe in the word hints above, I would summarize it as
follows: "A people hid by the Lord to do a great work, who look forward
to his coming, but who must first be purified."

Check this out and you can see just where the 816 area code is.

816 takes in Kansas City, which to me is Babylon incarnate, the great and
spacious building.... It looks like to me like it takes in Adam-Ondi-Ahman
also.
I do know some people around in that area and they appear to be sincere and
wanting to build up Zion. But there are so many people that say one thing and
live another.

Sterling, The 816 area code covers the Missouri portion of the metropolitan
Kansas City area. I believe it covers several counties, one of which you've no
doubt heard of, Jackson County, Mo.
