Redeeming the Net for Christ
Upon signing up to have Greater Things' Alphabetics Bible Code registered
for voting at Global
100, the account was given an identification number of 1351. When I
looked this number up in the New Testament lexicon, it gave me pause, for the
definition of the word by that number means "double-tongued, two-faced,
deceitful in one's words." I could hear someone wondering why I
would associate with this Global 100 voting thing that includes very worldly
sites. Word 1351 in the Old Testament further strengthens this
perception, as it means, "to be polluted, impure; to defile."
How could I claim on one hand to be seeking to build up Zion when on the other
hand it appears that I am participating in Babylon?
My motives for doing this voting thing are to increase the sites exposure
so that more people who could benefit from its information might be able to
find it.
Interestingly, word 1350 in Hebrew means "to redeem," and word
1350 in Greek means, "net." Thus affirming my intent of
providing something of redeeming value in a net that tends to be overwhelmed
by smut.
