Most DifficultWords around "UTAH" in the English Dictionary

Though the salt has lost its savor, from out of her midst shall come purified Zion

bullet Introduction

The words around Utah listed alphabetically in the English Dictionary are very applicable and sobering so far as they reflect the current state of affairs in the United States but especially in Utah, as well as future developments that will result from those conditions. Indeed, the words seem to follow nearly chronological prophetic sequence, showing cause, effect, both for evil and for good.

The entries marked with an asterisk(*) come from 1971 Webster's. All others come from 1984 Webster's II.

Commentaries offering contemporary application are in [small brackets]

USSR

[The "dissaray" in the "former" Soviet Union has not diminished the threat they pose to our nation, both ideologically and militarily.   Politically, they have facilitated the infiltration of our institutions with Marxists and propagandized our people into a dangerous sense of complacency about the danger they present.  Prophecies indicate that they will play a significant role in treading down the Gentiles in an instant suddenly who have become as salt that has lost its savor.  Prophecies of the "Assyrian" are often code for the USSR.   History will probably show that their most significant export to the West was ideological vodka, dulling the senses and discernment of the people of God.]

*ustulate The act of burning or searing; the operation of expelling a substance by heat, as sulfur from ores.

usurer, One who lends money at an excessive interest rate.

["What need hath my lord of this tower, seeing this is a time of peace? {All is well in Zion!} Might not this money be given to the exchangers?" (D&C 101:48,49.]

usurious,

[Many Utah establishment Mormons are in thick with the international bankers and international trade, including with nations with abysmal human rights records.   They are making it rich with the merchants of the world, and they will fall when Babylon falls.  See 666 Sketch.]

usurp, To seize and hold illegally and by force *or without right.

[According to the Matthew 21 parable, the ambitious husbandmen are not merely slothful in executing their duty, but they seek to take the kingdom of our God and his Christ.  "See, this is the heir, let us seize on his inheritance."   The antonym of "without right" is "whose right it is," namely Shiloh or Christ.  (e.g. Ezek. 21:25-27; Gen. 49:24; Isa. 22:15-25.)  By allowing and promoting a religious tenant that directs the people to hearken to themselves as the fail-safe assurance of not being led astray, they take away from Christ what is solely his.  He is the only sure stone upon which men might build and have safe foundation.  (e.g. Hel. 5:12.)  Contrary to Mormon mythology, "Follow the brethren," or "follow the prophet" is not always identical to "follow Christ." (e.g. JST-Mark 9:40-48, especially verse 46.)  Those who do not make this distintion will be in for a rude awakening in this day in which the folly of the arm of flesh will be utterly manifest.  (e.g. D&C 35:7; 50:3-9; 64:37-40.)  This web site is filled with scriptural validation on this most crucial point, which has to do with who sits in our own heart of hearts, God or a man.  No matter how holy that man be, he is not equivalent to Christ and cannot be ascribed the same level of trust.  This is idolatry and usurpation.  Its ultimate fruit is perdition.]

usury 1. The act or practice of lending money at excessive interest rates. 2. An exorbitant or illegal rate of interest.

[(1) A spirit of extravagance and  speculation has overtaken this people, getting into enormous debt leveraging. (2) Ye have sold yourselves for naught; but ye shall be redeemed without price (Isa. 52). (3) See Ezek. 22 chiasm B,B' on "usury". (4) Contrast this with the scriptural injuntion laid on the people of God, as one of the signs which follow them that believe: "they did have all things in common." (5) Perhaps many Christians justify themselves in this practice of usury upon their brethern because of the Savior's teaching about the unjust steward, where the Lord said, "...that at my coming I might have received mine own with usury." (Matt. 25:27; Luke 19:23.) The meaning of "usury" in this context, however, is not that of bilking off the poor, but of making increase of one's talents. (e.g. D&C 60:2,3.)   Many scriptures teach against the practice of usury, which by definition as seen here means excessive or exhorbitant interest rates."  (See for example, Exo. 22:25; Lev. 25:36,37; Deut. 23:19,20; Neh. 5:7; Psalms 15:5; Prov. 28:8; Ezek. 18:8,13,17; Ezek. 22:12.) (6) In contrast, the following statement is the "accepted" teaching on usury among Mormons:  "thems that understands it earns it, thems that don't, pays it."]

Ute

[Another of the Utahn's (as well as Americans in general) exploitations has been of the native Americans and their lands and resources.  But the promises of the Lord are extended to these people that the time will come when they will once again be restored to their land. Those who have been doing the treading will find themselves trodden under feet.]

utensil 2. A useful implement or tool

[Therefore, "Go ye out of the midst of her; Be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord"  (Isa. 52:11)]

uterus ...in which young develop and usually are nourished prior to birth

[Woman symbolism: church of Christ births the man-child. Out of a "hearts core" of the Lord's people  in general will arise a remnant who will be instrumental in redeeming Zion, primarily because of their coming forth with sufficient broken hearts and contrite spirits to warrant the Lord making bare his all-powerful arm.]

utile Useful

[(1) The very last word alphabetically in the New Testament Greek means "useful"  (2) see "888" which links this concept to the name of Jesus.]

utilitarian Stressing useful rather than aesthetic qualities

[(1) need to focus on substance rather than form; (2) tendency to draw near to the Lord with one's lips while the unchanged heart is far from him.]

utilitarianism, utility, utilize To put to use: make profitable use of.

[Awake, put on strength.]

utmost 1. Most distant: extreme. 2. Of the greatest amount or degree.

[Those who awaken are viewed as extremist, fringe, fanatics, though they are earnestly striving to prepare and come in to their foreordained callings in the work of the Lord.  "I will get them a name and a praise in every land where they have been put to shame," the Lord assures.   (Zeph. 3:19.)   They will receive of his fullness and inherit Zion.]

*Uto-Aztecan (Ute and o and Aztec) A language phylum...

utopia A place in which there is sociopolitical perfection.

[Paradise, Zion, New Jerusalem, which shall be attained by the faithful remnant.]

*utter Complete; total; entire; perfect

[...in Christ; religiosly and politically; seeing the gospel and government of God established in power.]

*utter, utterance To articulate as a sound; to pronounce; to express in words.

[(1) "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him." (Isaiah 64:4.); (2) "Kings shall shut their mouths, for that which had not been told them shall they see..."   (Isa. 52; 3 Ne. 20; 21.) (3) "They shall no more say, Know ye the Lord, for they all shall know me..." (Jer. 31:31.)]

*uttermost Being in the furthest, greatest, or highest degree.

[Millennial existence.]

*uxorious Excessively or foolishly fond of one's wife; doting on one's wife.

[(1) The marriage of the bridegroom, and his delight in the new bride, the purified church of the millennium the church who in times prior to her purification had played the harlot with the gods of Babylon. (2) The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head stone of the corner. (Ps. 118:22)]

Schopenhauer
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
