by Sterling D. Allan Here's a quick little exercise.
It is a blank sheet, prior to the beginning of the Topical Guide. What is the significance of a blank page? Note about "Alphabetics"I have found in thousands of studies that there is a significant correlation in the numbering associated with scripture, which has the ability to serve an instructive role in our life, combined with the principle of personal revelation and choice. If this is your first exposure to "Alphabetics" you might want to glance at an introductory document or read a quick teaser. Page 531 x 1 in the BiblePage 531 in the Bible (LDS publication) spans 2 Kings 15:35b through 2 Kings
16:15a. Page 531 x 2 in the BiblePage 1062 in the Bible (LDS publication) spans Ezekiel 25:3 through 26:2a. It is a page saying that God will destroy the Ammonites because they said "aha" to the Israelites in a time of their distress. I personally do not believe that this is God talking, but a man who thinks that is the way God is, as an excuse to celebrate punishment and vengeance on someone he doesn't like. It is an example of that which has been canonized as "scripture" but which is not scripture. That's not my God talking there -- not the one I have come to know. This illustrates the fact that part of our becoming scripture is to get to the point where we are comfortable disagreeing with what is recorded and commonly accepted as "scripture" because that is the way it has been viewed for generations, even millennia. "The infallible word" paradigm is grossly flawed and is actually idolatry of the printed word in place of going to God direct for our personal relationship and trust and guidance. The cannon is, generally, a repository of some of the most inspired writings available on earth, but it is not perfect. God is. If we wish to seek God's perfection and find completion ourselves, then we turn to God, not the written word as a substitute for God. Rather, the written word is a tool to get us to think and feel in such a way that we draw closer to God as we live true to what the Spirit of God directs in our lives, following our conscience. TinyURL SynchronicityI discovered this 531 x 1, x 2, x 3 on Jan. 22 at the Ezekiel Seminar in Salt Lake City, and didn't begin recording it until Jan. 27. It has sat unfinished for over a month, with all the other things I've needed to attend to. Then, this morning, March 3, 2005, when composing a flash idea that came to me to Duane Erickson, which tied to this study, I decided to at least get the essence briefly here before sending people to read it; and in so doing I basically completed it to my satisfaction. I'm sure there is much more that could be discovered and reported in the phenomenon, but I've captured the essence. I then went to prepare to send out the letter I'd composed to Duane, and saw that the URL is very long and will be chopped by most email programs if forwarded, so I went to tinyurl.com to create a shortcut. It creates its urls randomly. The URL it generated for the letter to Duane, which links to this study, and which really spurred my thinking to the point of being able to rapidly summarize this page, was http://tinyurl.com/532ho. "532" is awfully close to 531, even as 1593 (531 x 3) is awfully close to 1590, the last page of the Bible. How do the angles do that? Pretty amazing. I love it. I see things like that happen nearly daily.

| Why alleged "Sealed Portion" works for Duane - Duane Erickson testifies that his interaction with the record found at TheSealedPortion.com has brought profound changes in his life. An explanation is given here as to why that is, and why it does not necessarily "endorse" TheSealedPortion as THE bona fide "Sealed Portion." |
